Re: Rawson Homes - General Thread 456Feb 02, 2018 9:57 am Hi Can I please ask if any recommendation on nbn? I was going to connect with Tpg, but there service is really bad, they get angry with you easily..... and till now I still cannot sort out the nbn. Any recommendations of provider in Schofields area? Many thanks Kate Re: Rawson Homes - General Thread 457Feb 19, 2018 8:39 pm Hello, We are deciding on what electrical upgrades to include for our H&L package from Rawson in Horizon Marsden Park. Home design is Davenport 24. They have an option of: "Provide LED Downlight package to First Floor (includes up to 30 x Downlights)" for $4,080 From my readings here in the forum, this seem to be on the expensive side. Would it be better for us to do this post handover? What do we need to check in the plan to ensure it will not be a big hassle doing this post handover? It is our very first build project and very naive when it comes to these things. Appreciate your thoughts. Thanks! Re: Rawson Homes - General Thread 459Feb 19, 2018 9:42 pm Fee121 I believe it is very difficult to put down lights in after handover on the ground floor but the 2nd storey can be done relatively easily. $4080 does sound steep though.... Thanks Fee121. That is what I'm concern about. It does sound steep. But the difficulty / trouble it might cause by doing it after handover might be greater than the upgrade price being offered. Another option (and the one we went with) was to have Rawson wire up the downlights but not install them. I think the cost of wire and install was around $150 a downlight? I think the wire only was $80 each. Still not cheap but we plan on having an electrician come in after and just supply and install the lights. May or may not come out on top but we were willing to give it a go. We also couldn’t decide on warm or cool LEDs so this gave us more time to consider. We aren’t up to that stage in the build so I can’t really confirm whether this is a better option.
