In new estate you have to pay this levy not only in melton all over Victoria. You guys are lucky in melton is around $900 , in south east it ranges from $1100 to $1500. You cant build without paying this levy.

Our broker also told us to keep an eye out on the sunset clause which ends 28 April 2018, meaning the developer can cancel the contract and re-sell the land for a higher value if they deem the land to be worth more than they have sold it for. We tried calling Kennedy and Guy (developer’s solicitor) an they seem to know just as much as us Infinity Estate - Plumpton, VIC 229Jan 29, 2018 9:20 pm Dayjac20 Is stage 17 ever going to title? Not too sure but I think it could be the same for all the contracts for stage 17 Re: Infinity Estate - Plumpton, VIC 232Feb 21, 2018 6:24 pm 2 weeks ago my conveyancer said they anticipate lodgement of titles at the end of Feb but haven’t heard anything since. He is most worried that the contract that was signed expires on 28th April meaning York lodge can retract from selling the land and sell it at a higher price and said that he finds the developer very suspicious as they don’t provide regular contact and continue to push titles back month by month Re: Infinity Estate - Plumpton, VIC 235Mar 03, 2018 7:13 pm Everyone, Stage 17 still hasn't been titled and the documents are still at Melton council waiting for information from Geoff Humphrey he is a director Breese Pitt Dixon and also consultant for York Lodge developers. I have spoken to lawyers and they said if the lands don't get titled before 24 months from signing the contract and if the York Lodge developers decide to take it away and sell it at higher price then lawyers will be involved and this matter will be taken to court. Since the developers had enough time to get on Construction and complete it as the council received the application from the developers on 27/11/2015 and the permit for construction was issued in March 2016. You should contact Melton Council to get on to this before April and also contact Geoff Humphrey on 8823 2300 as he should be working with the council to get the information across to them for the council to issue the compliance certificate before April then to be land Title office for those lands to title. The lawyers said if they decide to delay the title and those lands are retracted, York Lodge Developers, Geoff Humphrey, and Tony Pasquale will be involved in the court case in regards this issue. Get onto this as soon as possible. Thanks for this info michael.p Re: Infinity Estate - Plumpton, VIC 237Mar 09, 2018 7:21 am I just got a communication from Melton city council that the stage is nearing completion. The inspection done last week had some minor issues that the council needs rectified. Once that is done the certificate of compliance will be issued. Fingers crossed. Re: Infinity Estate - Plumpton, VIC 238Mar 10, 2018 10:17 am v1v3k I just got a communication from Melton city council that the stage is nearing completion. The inspection done last week had some minor issues that the council needs rectified. Once that is done the certificate of compliance will be issued. Fingers crossed. 2 weeks before that inspection they told the developer to rectify those minor defects but the developers said we will fix them but still hasn't. Re: Infinity Estate - Plumpton, VIC 239Mar 10, 2018 12:24 pm My wife called the council and they said the defects were cracks in the footpath, they also said they will be going back to reinspect in a couple of weeks and if compliance is achieved then allow another 3 weeks for land to be titled. So she said roughly allow till the end of April for titling. She also said infinity estate has a lot of other issues that need rectifying in previous stages, we also asked about the sunset clause and she said there thought that the developer was trying to reach it but have seen that they are making the effort to fix the issues. Then again who do you trust???
