For those looking after their own driveway what did you end up going with - plain concrete, aggregate, stencilling etc.?
Any tips or things to avoid like the plague?

House will be semi-rural so the driveway will be quite long which is why we’re considering different options. Regardless of which option we go with it will be more expensive due to the length. I wouldn’t think that basic concrete needs ongoing maintenance or sealing, but maybe it would? I think you're right. Have you considered possibly crushed granite or similar? And a lot of rural/semi-rural tend to have stone of some kind. Just need to consider the up front benefits and costs versus long term maintenance and benefits. Next time we’re out at the house I’ll do some sticky beaking in what others have done in the area and how they’re faring, I think!
