Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Coral Homes Grange 24 - Brisbane West 5Jan 18, 2018 4:37 pm SKND10 ashzee Hi everyone I started the building process with Coral a while ago and there has been one delay after the other. The CSO simply refuses to respond to my emails/calls despite numerous attempts. Our BA was granted just before Christmas however our CSO still hasn't forwarded it to the Bank can you imagine. I would like to know how everyone's experience has been so far with them and how can I get my CSO to work more efficiently I guess. I am building in Brisbane West. Thanks. Hi Our experience has been terrible. We are lucky to have emails returned and when they are, my questions are not answered specifically. Phone calls are generally not answered. We are waiting to lodge our DA but keep being told we are waiting on BASIX. I called BASIX and they told me there is no wait, if you tick the right boxes then the cert is done within the hour. All I've heard is it might be done before xmas, hopefully its done this week, hopefully its in today. I am so disheartened by them and wish we never signed the contract. I think I just needed to vent! Haha. You are not alone. Our experience up until contracts was so fabulous. I wish our consultant was our CSO!! Hi Sorry I am unsure what BASIX is. Is it same as private certifier? Ours took 2 weeks from memory I think and council approval took 4 weeks. I rang my CSO post Christmas near 15 Jan to find out what's happening with our BA. She hadn't even checked and it was just sitting there approved since 22 Dec. Re: Coral Homes Grange 24 - Brisbane West 6Jan 18, 2018 4:39 pm symone I think we have all been through the 'waiting' stage. It seems like they aren't too good with communication at Head Office. Calls aren't answered, messages not returned and emails eventually get a reply. Best bet would be don't everything via email so there is proof etc. Thanks Symone. I have been documenting as much as possible but lack of communication is very frustrating. Do you know how long does it take from BA to commencement date provided of course all your variations have been done. Re: Coral Homes Grange 24 - Brisbane West 8Jan 18, 2018 6:03 pm How long your colour appointment variations took to come? Our colour appointment was on 12/1 so might take a couple of weeks. Also they made an error in the initial variations (V01) we recieved yesterday so I am unsure if they will come all together now. We just received our basix today, but only found out because we keep calling our cso. Super stressful I know how you feel. Bring on the build and hopefully admin will be a distant memory. 😕 Re: Coral Homes Grange 24 - Brisbane West 12Jan 18, 2018 8:57 pm mj-mac4 Hello! Welcome! Looking forward to following along!
