Browse Forums Building A New House Allworth Avalon / Sonata Our Dream Home 46Jan 13, 2018 8:33 am We got home and had our welcome letter from the construction team dated 8/1/18 so it looks that’s the start of our 4 weeks wait, not from when we signed our contract. That means they should be starting by the 6th of February and ending by the 18 of May is there was super dooper miracles and we didn’t have any rain delays. We can’t check it every day now which is probably a good thing as we’d be there every day! Re: Allworth Avalon / Sonata Our Dream Home 47Jan 18, 2018 1:18 pm Just got a call from the logistics company wanting to book our flooring delivery tomorrow. Our friend will meet them to lock it away in the garage. I thought I’d buy it while it was on sale in the post Christmas sales and have it ready. This also means our friend can check the block for any sign of scraped dirt or a loo haha I still absolutely love my flooring choice, it’s Karndean loose lay planks, the colour is called Stamford and I still have my 2 pieces here at work Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Re: Allworth Avalon / Sonata Our Dream Home 48Jan 22, 2018 2:57 pm I have spoken with the construction team manager and our site cut is booked in for Monday next week! It's actually going to happen!!! It also turns out somehow that our 4 weeks fell on January 17th, and the construction manager had only returned on January 15th so didn't have enough time to book it all in before then. Piering is booked in for tomorrow but we can’t make it, hopefully they won’t go over our piering quote Hubby is going down on Thursday to fix our rental so he can check it out and take some pictures We also have frames due to be delivered on Friday the 2nd of March to start the following week, so he has said our slab will be done before then Re: Allworth Avalon / Sonata Our Dream Home 50Feb 07, 2018 11:07 am aphsta Site cut and fill has been done Piering is booked in for tomorrow but we can’t make it, hopefully they won’t go over our piercing quote Hubby is going down on Thursday to fix our rental so he can check it out and take some pictures We also have frames due to be delivered on Friday the 2nd of March to start the following week, so he has said our slab will be done before then viewtopic.php?f=31&t=89450&start=20 Re: Allworth Avalon / Sonata Our Dream Home 51Feb 07, 2018 11:31 am I am a little nervous as initially we had about $18k worth of screw piers in our quote and then the engineer went over it right at the end and decided 90 lineal metres was enough, which took about 6k off the price. We are building on sand a few houses from the basin so were always expecting a large piering cost. I guess I will find out soon enough! Allworth Avalon / Sonata Our Dream Home 52Feb 07, 2018 12:24 pm Yay, SS Just texted us, they went under at 65lm, so no need to stress. Re: Allworth Avalon / Sonata Our Dream Home 53Feb 08, 2018 8:25 pm Hubby spoke to the SS today and it’s looking like we are getting a slab late next week. We got confirmation of application to connect power. We have a loo! I am going down in 2 weekends time, I can't wait to see it The frames are meant to be delivered next Friday too while we are down there, I've only seen photos since it started so it will be great to be there and walk on it and see it with my own eyes. Re: Allworth Avalon / Sonata Our Dream Home 58Mar 01, 2018 6:32 pm Here she is! Unfortunately they missed the drainage point in the alfresco slab (which was the only reason we concreted it) so I have texted the SS to tell him and ask him to give me a call about it tomorrow. Frames are due to be delivered tomorrow also. I’m rather annoyed as we didn’t want concrete in our alfresco and they made us pay for it and said it was required if we wanted the plumbing with drainage out there. So we are going to end up with a slab we didn’t want that we had to pay for that is of no use to anyone. The frames should have been delivered and the SS said that the carpenters are booked for Monday to start putting them up. He also said the issue with the slab shouldn’t delay the frames. Hubby is going down next weekend so I am hopeful they will be up and he can get some good pictures for me yes it does, you've just not understood it. theres a difference. 4 5498 Your house should come in "as new" condition.
