Well piled up my left over bricks at rearof my block but barely any left over and half of them are half bricks or broken . Might be useful for some garden edging or similarif they dont dissapear
Bricks washed and more work done inside still had reservations about the final look of my external colours but i am quite happy with the look now. Will see how the surfmist Panel Door and Security blind on front window look. Have been thinking maybe the windows should have been surfmist as well but was concerned how much they would stand out against the darker brick

Most of these visible sections of roof will be covered with solar panels - 23 of them - on all 3 sections if required
I think the black window frames look great (getting them too). So hard to pick colours for the externals when you have little samples and hats to picture it as a whole, but think you have done great
The house is looking great and I personally prefer the black windows, I think they look more modern. The garage door makes all the difference to the final look of the house,it's so annoying having to wait right till the end to see it
Only reason we went with silver pearl for windows is because we thought a dark colour might look odd inside for us or we might not like it on inside since our inside is all white and light grey, if not for that we would take black too we went with cottage green garagedoor and roof cause black would not wor with energy rating and we went with momentum (dark grey) rendered garage peers and panel frint doir ro blend in with bricks our security doors is also silver pearl. The surf mist looks good with your white mortar and the back breaks it a bit to balance it out
got my bill from SAPN yesterday $316 Logged into AGL site today and it advised me my next meter read is due in 47 days - so i guess they will start billing me supply charges then
i know surfmist windows would have been to much. but 2nd guessing decisions made 5 months ago is part of the fun of building Energy rating is why i went with surfmist - that and I hate seeing bird droppings under tv antenna's on dark roofs
yes but at least the bills during construction are just the base supply charges so very predictable. electricity should be just under $90 and water about $150 per quarter.
and to add to the festive bills i got my stage 3 and 4 progress invoices this morning hopefully that means lockup before shutdown - will go onsite after work today and check out if anythings happened further since Wednesdays visit - will then be visiting more sporadically till mid january.

We will still go a couple of times a day to have a presence there and try to deter any wrongdoing from others...
Lol yep can predict it but still paying it ontop of nirmal bills 😂 hopefully not too long. We had no progress last night. They had 2nd fix booked for today but not sure what it is and if it will go ahead with all the ither stuff thats was rescheduled (still no doirs/lockup)
2nd fix is done after linings and joinery i think includes things like finalizing wiring and plumbing etc
Oh thought it would be doirs and eaves and archives, corniness etc thought i read its the bit they do hust when they lockup. But im so confused i dont know anything anymore 😂 urgh maybe it will still mean things get done i hope
Hi,
I'll be starting on my verandah repair soon - replace ledger, rafters, roofing iron, flashing etc. (fascia board already done).
My question is about the timber ledger…
I ended up refusing him to pay to fix HIS mistake.
I paid money to fix just one ceiling, that too was overpriced but had no choice
I shared my build story on another…
