Browse Forums Building A New House Re: The CARLISLE HOMES & SPECTRA General Information Thread 7236Dec 15, 2017 10:08 am Hi Timmylol, Thanks for your reply. I don't really recollect of signing any such specific things as we signed nearly an year ago. At the same time, I am sure they must have taken our signs covering themselves. Whats surprising us is , painting on bricks will have its own issues- such as fading over a period and requires maintenance and less value for my property. Yesterday we had a catch-up with SS and his boss, those I**Ts are very determined and telling the same thing again and again that 'Painting is the Option'. They also gave a free suggestion to go to VBA to complain about this issue. We said, instead, we go and stand in front of SPECTRA and at sales offices with a banner showing the picture of the build (where it shows different colour bricks). We are actually in that process and we will do that in 2nd week of Jan ( on every weekend) , if they don't resolve our issue. What made us annoyed is...in spite of their mistakes, they are asking us to go to VBA or accept a painted bricks. Ridiculous people ...is it for we are paying premium prices for their build? Aren't they good ? or are there any other reasons that people choose Metricon, Coral, Henley etc. Metricon is also not that great if you read the forum thread on this site and facebook. It's all very different from one person to another. Good luck! Second Build, this time with Carlisle 2016, can't wait! I'm looking for feedback with regards to how it performs during winter and summer, does it have good insulation properties as they claim? Also, how are the acoustic properties? Is it good at minimizing outside noise like passing cars from being heard inside the house? This is the first time I've come across foam cladding for external walls so I'm hoping to get some feedback from people who built with this material. 0 4986 We are at the stage on our build in Kilcoy, Queensland where we need to get our fencing installed but we cant get any contact details for our neighbours to give them… 0 6167 You should check your detail drawings, it may show downpipe within brick pier. 14 14121 |
