Then there will be no need to drill through any of them.
And you don't need 'pull wires' - that's what yellow tongue and other cabling rods are for (at least I find that stuff pretty easy to use...). Yeah those yellow tongues are really handy.. makes it real easy even with insulation in the walls. Steel frame is easy to wire later on as the nogins are only about 10mm thick. If you do it from the ceiling the studs are already pre-drilled and you just slide a plastic grommit in and down goes the wire! Rodda what is a multi room audio system?? Also with regards to the equipment, is better to stick with one brand for all or are you able to mix brands up?? Sorry if these questions sound really silly, but was planning to have a rumpus with a pool table etc... as opposed to a home theatre and now have changed my mind Re: Theatre room 5.81 x 4.43 19Mar 05, 2009 8:21 am ^^ A home theatre is a rumpus room with doors and big curtains
Multi room audio means you play something from one device, but it comes out from speakers in multiple rooms. Some systems are more sophisticated then others (EG, controlling the music from multiple rooms, not just hearing it). Re: Theatre room 5.81 x 4.43 20Mar 05, 2009 9:06 am When people want a pair of speakers in one room and another pair in another room (that they want to here sound from) that's multi-room audio. I use the term as more of a definition to describe a system that provides sound to multiple rooms.
As far as mixing brands goes - you absolutely should never restrict yourself to using just one brand (unless that brand happens to be the best one for every piece of equipment you want). The only reason for sticking to one brand is that you may gain some efficiency in the remote(s) (the TV remote may have some functions that operate the DVD player), or so they look cool sitting next to each other with the same badges on them. Basically, unless you have a really, really good reason for grouping your brands, just pick the best piece of equipment based on it's merrits...
