We went and did that when choosing our stone and laminate Find my build thread here: https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?t=88694&f=31&p=1729530#p1729530 Re: Building again, Ben Trager homes WA 11Dec 10, 2017 4:23 pm just_a_draftee You can head down to the Laminex shop on Scarborough Beach Road and check out bigger samples there if you like. Now just to wait for the magic numbers. my new build thread- Ben Trager https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=89826 my switch build thread (2011) https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=36569 Re: Building again, Ben Trager homes WA 16Jan 16, 2018 4:43 am Prestart costings back first thing Monday morning, 14 pages and over $44K! But with some trimming here and there we were mostly happy. The upgrade on the stone was just on $3K which I (and hubby!) can live with, nothing else was really too shocking, changing out some things and caught a couple of expensive typos- a $501 credit had been entered as a $50 debit so glad I found that one! Building license has been issued so just need the cash to get it rolling! Just finalising the last few things, hoping to have all the documents to submit to finance before the end of this week. Just want it to start now! my new build thread- Ben Trager https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=89826 my switch build thread (2011) https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=36569 Re: Building again, Ben Trager homes WA 17Jan 16, 2018 9:24 am 44k! Dam, that's a decent Prestart haha did you do stuff through Intelligent Home? That's usually quite expensive! He’s forgotten obviously my new build thread- Ben Trager https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=89826 my switch build thread (2011) https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=36569 Re: Building again, Ben Trager homes WA 19Jan 16, 2018 10:57 am Ha! I'm pleased we are not the only ones that seem to come a cropper with upgrades! We spent $46k before we got to pre-start and then another $23k at pre-start Re: Building again, Ben Trager homes WA 20Jan 16, 2018 11:02 am I knew it was coming, I’d budgeted for $30-35 and that’s probably what it will be once we finalise everything. my new build thread- Ben Trager https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=89826 my switch build thread (2011) https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=36569 Ask for references and speak to them.
