Yesterday I received the invoice. No rectified works have been done. This morning I received another email from site supervisor rushing me to pay. Is this normal? I have told SS to fix up all defects before invoicing. I'm afraid defects might not be addressed/fixed if I make the payment now. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. This has happened to us multiple times. Email the accounts department and say that the stage id not complete as the defects have not been rectified. We were able to extend our time to pay the invoice on one occasion and then they issued a new invoice. In the mean time arrange a date for a face to face meeting on site with your supervisor so they can talk you through everything they have done/will do to rectify the defects. You will most likely need to keep them accountable. The "natural build process" can mean that some defects are inadvertently covered up before being rectified as different tradies come on site and do their sections. If you do not notify accounts in writing then they do have the ability to charge interest after 7 days. The contract also has percentages written in which gives PD the ability to invoice even though we would deem the stage incomplete. Good Luck! I said the same thing to their accounts and accounts emailed ss to confirm. Then the ss email came in this morning basically telling me to pay. Will follow your tips and keep the record in writing. Dont give them any wiggle room or they will take that and alot more Re: Porter Davis homes 15872Dec 05, 2017 5:54 pm Laminate floors have just gone in today. I took some pics through the window here >> https://waldorfgrangebuild.wordpress.co ... -flooring/ The colour we chose was Rustic Stone from the Bolero range. It wasn't exactly what we were looking for and if the budget allowed we would have gone for Oak and something a bit more grey rather than the creamy latte tones but there were very few choices. We hope it just blends in and we can make a real statement with our furniture pieces. Re: Porter Davis homes 15873Dec 05, 2017 6:59 pm Just a quick update Cabinets in, internal doors in, garage roof structure ad facia on and skirting boards and architraves close to being finished. Upstairs will be all white white walls and we will have spotted gum in walkways and the lounge plus concreate looking tiles on the floor of the bathrooms. Should we have the first or second carpet?
