Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Coral Homes Marcoola 163Nov 23, 2017 9:31 pm Seriously we have had so many issues with this garage opening. We paid extra at contract to have it higher as I have a 4WD all good. Frame stage they only made the opening standard height, then it was fixed. Then the plasters do the same thing, again fixed. Garage door goes on its too bloody small!!!!! Painting finished I still love my cut outs. The painters were concerned with our colour choice for the eaves, but we really like it. Final fitout, can't wait to see our lights in our house. viewtopic.php?t=88323&f=31&p=1771329#p1771329 Re: Coral Homes Marcoola 170Nov 27, 2017 8:28 pm Looking good H. What are they doing about the height of your roller door? Do thay just replace it? Are you having anything exciting for your lighting? We are having pendants over our kitchen bench, something we always wished we had in the old house. I also bought pendants for next to the mirrors in each bathroom. And I stretched the budget to get 5 coach lights across the front exterior, i've always wanted a house on a hill with coach lights, lol. Other than that our fittings are all just standard. We changed living areas to downlights instead of the ugly ball shaped ones, but still just downlights, nothing special. So close now, have you got a pci date yet viewtopic.php?t=88323&f=31&p=1771329#p1771329 That's great H, No we haven't yet Every other build that has reached fit out has been given a date, i am hoping he will give us something this week... we need to arrange removalists, insurance and family matters etc, so we would love to be able to start planning. Needless to say I think we won't be putting our fence and gardens in right away as planned as everything will be shut down over Xmas if we move in just before it. Is your move in planned for the 18th or PCI? PCI is the 8th and move in fingers crossed the 18th or 19th hubby seems to think it might be earlier depending on the amount of defects viewtopic.php?t=88323&f=31&p=1771329#p1771329 Wow that's great news, we wish we could have news like that, we can't see why we can't be given a date or dates. It's all a waiting game I guess, we only need our tiles finished, painting touch up, carpet, screens and driveway now too so we feel so close yet so far. Ask the council if there is a chance of getting build over easement exemption. Sometimes easements are unused and 24cm is not all that much. Good luck. And yes any builder… 2 13771 In Qld it is a requirement that a builder must have a cost breakdown, for building a home to the same specification, with the same inclusions and the same finish. So ask… 1 4346 Ask for references and speak to them. If they are defensive or try to avoid the request, walk. 1 74702 |
