Browse Forums Building A New House Re: First jome build SA Hickinbotham 489Nov 23, 2017 12:57 am Which means due to the actions of idiots our build is delayed with 2plus weeks and to think if they kept to gheir initial time frame it could have been avoided all together. Now the rusk of delivered plaster board getting wet and insolation to get wet! Funny enough saw a tripswitch and a new wire installed would think the fixups would also be done whild on site. Sad though hoping they catch up on times! And that no other work will be delayed! And hoping joinedy will go ahead as planned on 7/12 Re: First jome build SA Hickinbotham 490Nov 23, 2017 7:42 am Hope tiday we will have our electrical and insolation fixed and gyprock hung and that no delay will be caused with the vandalism. Hoping nobrain that brickies can finish our house this week and we can have lockup and doors installed tomorrow Re: First jome build SA Hickinbotham 491Nov 23, 2017 11:42 am Went past house and saw brickies there did not stop or go in but looked like they did something around the garage area maybe the piers that will be rendered. Not sure if anything else was done earlier or will be done later today will go have a proper look tonight if still light enough or tomorrow late afternoon:) praying for bricking to be completed this week as well as the linings (elictrica/aircon piping /insolation to be fixed and gyprock to be in! Re: First jome build SA Hickinbotham 494Nov 23, 2017 12:51 pm Entilzha yep they will be wanting to finish to get onto their next job. hopefully whne you check it tonight they will have acheived a lot today Hope so! Now fx for that electrical/insolation/gyprock bit Re: First jome build SA Hickinbotham 495Nov 23, 2017 7:51 pm Sarah159 good that the brickies are back, youve been unlucky with a bit of rain at this time of year... Im sure they will finish this week though! Was hoping but still heaps to do, 6m boundary wall, around windows and doors and the one pillar from garage... (16 days now, 1 no work due to rain) . Re: First jome build SA Hickinbotham 497Nov 23, 2017 8:26 pm Sarah159 Id say thats another 2 or 3 days work. Luckily the bricks dont slow down any other of the other work that you need done. Did the electricians fix up the wiring today? no change inside with aircon pipe/wiring/insolation we actually picked up insolation on the outside last night and moved it inside... brickie said they might put up doirs before they continue inside I sure dont hope they leave it all exposed again, but really frustrating not to have had any change inside at all (so alkready a week behind schedule so intotal like consultant said 2+ weeks due to this extra) Was hoping it would be fixed this week at least as consultant set it as a priority, would hate to think how ling things take thats not a priority) Re: First jome build SA Hickinbotham 498Nov 23, 2017 8:32 pm sarah159 Brickies has not work a full day since they started They only have been there between 9-12 at latest. If they sud a full day it would be completely finished with bricks. So we think that they have been building on a couple of sites at the same time. I thought maybe they had to leave to pick their kids up from school or something.. They never worked on fridays at all So it looks like we finally have some movement on site!
