Browse Forums General Discussion Re: Help is my house missing NBN hub ???? needing help 6Nov 22, 2017 3:05 pm I had the same issue recently, the builders are installing one conduit and for that they charge $500 to $1000 it was in the days where NBN roll out was not complete and every connection ordered during that phase was free, now you will have to pay $300 which you will pay to ISP (telstra, optus ) and they will pay to NBN. The builders are actually scamming customers over this charge which was required in past and is not required now but nobody is questioning them thats the biggest rort. Long story short ring Telstra or preffered internet provider they will give you a time and date that NBN tech will come to your house install the 2 devices one outside near electricity meter PCD and one in the garage wall NTD once installed ISP will immediately connect you to internet. Re: Help is my house missing NBN hub ???? needing help 7Nov 22, 2017 4:08 pm My NBN was free from builder. Included hub in garage and conduit from garage to lounge. After move in, went with iinet. They sent technician to hook nbn to house, was free as part of joining offer but had to pay $300 new house nbn levy for vic. To my understanding early saw cuts are to control shrinkage cracks, so doing them now would be pointless. Control joints may reduce ugly cracking during periods of soil… 3 6923 Hey guys building a new place through a volume builder and just wondering if i should complain to the site supervisor as we just had plasterboard installed.
