Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Site Costs 2Nov 09, 2017 2:35 pm annie09 Hi we are just to enter into a contract with a building company but am concerned about the site cost allowance $50K, the soil report states that the site is a P (because of some trees which we are having removed) and a waffle slab is recommended. the land has never been built on and is quite flat, builder is suggesting a water pump be installed at a cost of $5k on top of estimated site costs, i am really concerned as the allowance is there that they will us it all, it is a coastal town where we are building a 29sq home. Our site costs were initially estimated at around 28K. Approx 2m fall and never been built on. After a second soil test this figure was reduced by quite a few thousand. - View my blog at www.waldorfgrangebuild.wordpress.com Re: Site Costs 3Nov 09, 2017 8:23 pm annie09 Hi we are just to enter into a contract with a building company but am concerned about the site cost allowance $50K, the soil report states that the site is a P (because of some trees which we are having removed) and a waffle slab is recommended. the land has never been built on and is quite flat, builder is suggesting a water pump be installed at a cost of $5k on top of estimated site costs, i am really concerned as the allowance is there that they will us it all, it is a coastal town where we are building a 29sq home.
