How exciting. My kitchen cabinets went in this week, weird they didn't paint the ceilings first though. Mine feels so close now @Madora Dreamer Re: First Build HGWA 95Oct 27, 2017 9:45 am So thoughts on building with HGWA. The building process was for the most of it great and the finishings internally were spot on. However if you do build with HGWA my only one gripe with them is paving. I suggest you delete paving and get your landscaper to do it! I was highly disappointed with their paving, however they came back with the old "within tolerance guidelines" shiz. I'm now getting my landscaper to lift up the paving and redo it. Of course I didn't budget for this but I rather get it right now then loathe the house because of uneven lines. Anyhoo it's still exciting about the new house but has tainted my building experience a little. How long does it take before you can put furniture on the tiles? Mine have been delayed so the house may be finished before they arrive so I was thinking of moving in then moving out whilst the tiles are laid. @Madora Dreamer Re: First Build HGWA 99Oct 28, 2017 7:41 pm Madora Dreamer Hi Jenza, have you moved in yet or waiting for the tradies to finish first? I need to clean up the house this week and then I'll move next week So much dust and dirt! Not sure about tiles but you would think the next day would be ok?? Maybe just check with your builders! Don't want to void any warranties. Or are you doing the tiles separately from the builders? It's an exciting time for both of us. We did it! Re: First Build HGWA 100Nov 07, 2017 3:40 pm Congrats Jenza, that floor looks awesome! As far as I know the tiles need at least a day or two after going down and then probably another day minimum after they’ve been grouted (which is done separately). Depending on how long it all takes you possibly have minimum 4-5 days before tiling starting and being ready for use. First home builder - Brightwood Estate, Baldivis. Celebration Homes.
