Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Ceiling Height cost on 2.4M to 2.7M 2Oct 17, 2017 7:57 am This will give you an order-of-magnitude idea, because we're in Sydney and this was quoted 4 years ago now, and also because it's from 2.45m to 2.6m. But for upstairs in our house, which is about 150sqm, we paid $3840 for the 2.45m to 2.6m change (which doesn't include the extra cost of tiling in the bathrooms - they quoted the floor-ceiling tiling separately). Re: Ceiling Height cost on 2.4M to 2.7M 3Oct 17, 2017 8:47 am $3 - $4,000 seems to be the going rate for builders I have spoken to recently Re: Ceiling Height cost on 2.4M to 2.7M 5Oct 17, 2017 7:31 pm Thanks guys turns out the ceilings are 2590 and going to go to 2740mm for $2500 really happy thanks for your input Re: Ceiling Height cost on 2.4M to 2.7M 6Oct 18, 2017 7:06 pm We also paid another 2200 over the ceiling height cost to have doors and windows and garage doors increased to 2400 Re: Ceiling Height cost on 2.4M to 2.7M 7Oct 18, 2017 9:04 pm Wow, those are great prices! Our quote (for a 229.1m2 home) is $6,415 to upgrade to 2740mm in lieu of the standard 2240mm. To upgrade our doors is another $600. I hadn't even thought of the garage and windows needing upgrades... eek! Re: Ceiling Height cost on 2.4M to 2.7M 8Oct 19, 2017 7:50 am chrinee Wow, those are great prices! I hadn't even thought of the garage and windows needing upgrades... eek! This may be because you are going 2 increments, from 2.2 to 2.5 to 2.74 (they seem to charge for each increment). Our ground we are looking at comes with 2.55 which we are upgrading to 2.74, and level 2 comes with 2.4ish, which we are upgrading to 2.55. Each is around $3,500, and includes some ancillary works (bulkheads, taller doors, window changes etc) ok thanks - yes was wondering if that should have been listed as Option Three! 2 7808 I'll look into different shower heads and ask the plumber about some engineering and see what he says. Thanks 2 9669 i imagine you also have another contract with an architect? and yeah, whatever other's said about special conditions and appendices 16 16130 |
