At every stage we hired a inspector to check the quality and my site supervisor did not fix most of the issues and the pre plaster report says there are so many doesn't meet Australian standards, stuff like telephone and power lines crossing water pipes without conduit. Even after repeated messages and emails they went and fixed plaster board and meanwhile my site supervisor left the company. It's more than 4 weeks since I got any updates about the status. Construction manager was meant to get back to me but not yet. What do you think about the whole situation? Doesn't the builders has to built according to Australian standards? Do you think they can still fix issues with frame work? Thank you very much [/quote] We have also hired an independent inspector and found at each stage lots of things have not been built to Australian Standards. Most of these things they have rectified but sometimes the build proceeds and things get covered up making it impossible to check. If I were you I would try to get in touch with someone from higher management. - View my blog at www.waldorfgrangebuild.wordpress.com Re: Australian standards.. 4Oct 16, 2017 8:26 am Heavyjelly2015 Doesn't the builders has to built according to Australian standards? Lodge a complaint with management and the building commission 2.Have it fixed and certified independently 3.If Possible fix it yourself my2c Designer,Engineer (Civil,Const & Envir),Builder,Concrete & Masonry Contract.Struct Repairs Building Standards; Getting It Right! Don't think they are designed for double brick. WA has a particular way of building and unfortunately that's the way a large amount of sills are finished. 3 7014 I believe this is correct. From the picture you can see the power was put in last so the electrician knew where the water was. Really it's a common sense issue more… 4 5161 2 8648 |
