Omg that is just awful! I'm sorry your family has to go through this. Someone's home should be their sanctuary and I completely empathize with you. What has PD offered to do at this stage? If they told you at this late stage that the frame never passed their own independent inspections then you may have grounds to fight this at VCAT as they didn't follow HIA process and have impacted your family living conditions and well being by causing significant delays? Did you have independent inspections as well? To be honest though, their own independent inspections mean absolutely nothing. Our frame PD inspection passed even though the roof was undulating because the entire frame wasn't building properly. Roof was sagging and many many studs were not aligned etc and slab was very uneven. They had to not just fix the problems, some had to be fully replaced. So it's mind boggling that it passes their own inspection. How did you go getting all of the issues rectified? We are currently having the same issue with different colour render. Is your build complete? Our waldorf has taken 11months so far and there is still heaps to fix. I am so sorry to hear you too are going through this. This is all dejavu for me!!! PD did nothing to help or speed up any process no matter our housing arrangement after months of advising wed be in by feb. We too were left in your position. I really hope you get some action asap because at this point you just have no choice. In regards to the pd inspection its a joke. There is no report or photos but a peice of paper that says approved even if its not approved. Take no chances and do not even factor their inspector into ur equation Good luck Re: Building a Waldorf or Marriot by Porter Davis 8356Dec 08, 2017 5:50 am Congratulations! Re: Building a Waldorf or Marriot by Porter Davis 8359Dec 08, 2017 8:46 am KCR4 Hi can I ask how long the build took? Our build is currently at 380 days 😯 Oh gosh. We are at 262 and I thought that was long. Have they started paying you compensation or will that come through at the end? Our contract deadline is Tuesday so I'm wondering how it works. Re: Building a Waldorf or Marriot by Porter Davis 8360Dec 08, 2017 10:43 am In our contract they have allowed 389 days so no compensation yet!! It is practically completed yet failed certificate of occupancy. Had 14 pages worth of things to fix after our last inspection. Wow that is terrible about the insurance! I guess ideally proof of insurance should be provided prior to first deposit but I'd imagine they would refuse to be out of… 17 14230 There isn't any need to.
