At the end of the day, it's all subcontracted out (as I'm sure you're aware) so it really depends on your site supervisor and what trades he or she has working for them. Anyone can generate realistic image with 3D Architectural Software, the problems arise when it comes to engineering & building Here re just a few 1. The artist/designer has no idea of how it's going to be engineered or built... hes put it out there (LOL on the hook) 2.The disconnect between 3D Architecture and 2D Engineering.. mistake often get made on site. 3. The prohibitive cost of 3D engineering means builders would prefer not to use it, unless forced to. 4. KDRB with s 8Jan 19, 2018 9:20 pm saw this late, you may well have chosen a builder already our site is also 3.6m in slope, but we managed to not go down the split level path but rather a 500mm stepdown design with Bentley, as it would save us a whole lot to go with volume and not a custom builder when we went to them in late 2016, Bentley had 2 designs which accommodate this stepped design, the Kyalami and Benson, you can consider them if its not too late A survey must’ve completed by a certified surveyor.
