Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Valeco custom build - North Brisbane 31Oct 04, 2017 7:17 pm bananarama Yea, we had been going so well, something was bound to go wrong. Also, the delay shouldn’t stop us from being in before Xmas, so that’s a positive! Belga wasn’t in their standard range so we paid an extra 2kish for it. the tile was $38 according to the beaumont sticker, And was red colour I think. Dunno which range that falls in though. Doesn’t help that this size was a new one, and doesn’t yet have the consistency in production apparently. We really loved the concrete fuse ($109) but turns out that won’t have stock for delivery u til January so it’s out. Looks like we will go with the Icon Dove ($99). I’m really happy with the look of it. We probably would have selected it at the start of it wasnt so exxy. The good thing is that it comes in the 900x450 that we originally wanted so kind of happy lol I did look quite seriously at the exile, evolution and cretement but we want a rectangle tile that we can use outside too or that has the same size but in a textured versions becuase we are going to tile all the outdoor slabs to match and they didn’t have those sorts of options for what we needed. Oh, great to hear you are still on track to be in before Christmas! Ah I see.. Icon Dove looks lovely! Awesome that you're getting an upgrade, but a shame that it's not really within budget - I hope Beaumont are able to make it a little easier on the pocket for you. Re: Valeco custom build - North Brisbane 32Oct 04, 2017 8:48 pm I have to admit I'm really impressed with your tiler, what a considerate man to think beyond just getting the job done. It might cost you more in the long run due to more expensive tiles but the tiling will be sensational. I would rather a delay and spend a little more than have a rotten tiling job. Have you visited beaumonts to re select yet? I hope everything gets sorted quickly and you can keep moving forward Re: Valeco custom build - North Brisbane 34Oct 05, 2017 9:28 am You have had a great build and will continue to, considering how kind your tiler is and your SS you are in good hands. There aren't many that will go out of there way for the client so it's great to hear they are doing the right thing by you. I had a couple of butt head moments with my site super at the start and when he realized I wasn't going to be a push over he played ball. I hope the quote comes back all ok and you can keep trucking on. Valeco custom build - North Brisbane - week 8 -Tiling issue 35Oct 17, 2017 9:13 pm How did everything go with the tiles Bananarama? Re: Valeco custom build - North Brisbane - week 8 -Tiling is 37Oct 22, 2017 8:40 am Yep. Onwards and upwards (with a new tile). Hopefully delay doesn’t stop a pre Xmas handover Re: Valeco custom build - North Brisbane - week 8 -Tiling is 38Nov 12, 2017 12:22 pm How's it all progressing? Hope it's all going smoothly for you!
