Browse Forums Building A New House Building with Metricon 6265Sep 28, 2017 5:51 pm blackcat20 Question re contract appointment. We received our plans and costings today ahead of next week. There are still a few things missing/not updated on the plans. Do these just get added in as pre-contract variations? If you had your colour selection. Then you added things after. Then yes it will go in their pre contract. That's if it's more then a week or two later. We added ours on schedule. And it still went to pre contract. viewtopic.php?t=86597 Re: Building with Metricon 6266Sep 28, 2017 5:52 pm Doulton777 blackcat20 Question re contract appointment. Theyre aware of them and havve been since last week but the plans didn't get updated yet. Re: Building with Metricon 6267Sep 28, 2017 6:04 pm It sounds like it won’t make it to the contract and it will be done as a post contract variations. If you have your contract appointment next week, chances are that the contract booklet has been done and there’s no way to changing it now. It's there job to get it right and put it in there. And if you can. Do it by email. Cos then at least you have paper trail. viewtopic.php?t=86597 Re: Building with Metricon 6269Sep 28, 2017 6:08 pm And if they haven't done it. Add it at pre contract on the day. She will write it all down on a separate sheet. I had 34 more variations pre contract. Then I think I added a couple more. But it took them 3mths worth of headaches. viewtopic.php?t=86597 Re: Building with Metricon 6270Sep 28, 2017 7:09 pm I don't mind if its added at the appointment, I just dont want to pay a variation fee given theyre all things that have been added previously (via email too, I even signed the variation for one but it keeps missing the paperwork). One of the things missing was on the original quote but seems to have dropped off somewhere, and is no longer on the plans. I'd email your CSC and say that you've looked over the contract and then list the items missing and strongly remind them that all the missing items were communicated prior to the contract being put together. Put everything in writing. I can't stress that enough. Even if it is just to let them know that you know things aren't right! If they are adding post contract, get it in writing that you won't be charged any further variation fees. If they won't, I wouldn't pay the 20% until the contract is 100%. Or do hey fix it, then remove it to paint and fix it back up again? Since painting falls into the Completion stage and hanging of doors is in an earlier stage of Fixing? There was stacks missing out of our contract (errr, they had big version control issues - let's just say we got an outdated copy of the contract). We did our contract signing in November, and were still adding in "free" post-contract variations until March. Our sales consultant just said go through her, she was excellent. But contract was painful. Re: Building with Metricon 6276Sep 29, 2017 8:37 pm VMGlendale37 Renman Question for all, Do they paint the doors before they hang it or afterwards?
