If I go onsite tomorrow (highly likely) I might take a closer look. Its been a busy day onsite today! 10 guys at one point! Bricks are almost finished! Like I thought, they didn't get them completed today! so Monday it is. Hopefully someone could come tomorrow? There really isn't THAT much to do now, other than the clean. Heating and cooling guys were there today. I didn't notice if anything was on the roof, but there was a unit in the ceiling, ducts had gone in, the return air vent in the ceiling was in place. The electrician was back onsite moving and adding a few points the we added and changed. Two carpenters were back onsite putting in our noggins. Cement sheeting arrived today also- thinking thats for the wet areas. Don't particularly like the no eaves but oh well to save a little money I'm fine with that and we won't use this side of the house very much! Re: Our new home 254Sep 22, 2017 9:25 pm You're making great progress! I look forward to seeing your bricks clean. I look forward to seeing your bricks clean. The meter box will likely be painted eventually, did you select a colour? https://r.tapatalk.com/shareLink?share_ ... are_type=t It will be 7 weeks on Monday.. or 45 days! hahaha I think we are doing ok so far. 10 weeks to go.. We didn't select a colour for the meter box! I did go back and have a look at the colour selection list and nope nothing there.. I don't care that much its not like its red or green! If they don't paint it we can always do it.. Our front do and garage will be surf mist! But I'd rather it was the monument to match gutters?? emts yeah ours is same cream colour and getting painted to match our front door/garage door, check though your colours appointment and sure it's in thee somewhere Re: Our new homein love with my bricks 258Sep 24, 2017 5:13 pm So we went onsite today and did some of our own work. We put insulation into the theatre room walls- between hallway wall and between bedroom 2, WIP. It's only r2.0 so will make a little difference but that much. Didn't bother with sound proofing. Also put some between the toilet and bedroom two, hopefully that will cut it out a little too although hubby did say the noise would travel. Hubby bought all the things he needed a pair of gloves etc and I used a plastic bag to help as my glove hahaha, I didnt do much. Also we run a cable for our projector in the theatre room so that the screen opens and shuts at the press of the button. took some photos on the DSLR of the work we done and also of the extra power point we got in. nothing on the phone otherwise I would upload it here. Does anyone else take photos of every single thing? I took a photo of the toilet roof today- for future reference haha if I eventually put a skylight in there. I also had another look at our bricks today , really like them. Looking back the other day on where we were last year and the things we would have gotten, i'm so happy where we are today and I really think I wouldn't have liked the old bricks/colours when I now have this haha. Looks like they have forgot to put a lintel (metal strip above the window) above the ensuite window and then have done an extra layer. It was like this on Friday (looking back on the photos) and is still like this today Im sure it will be fixable if they have to remove a brick or two, wish it was just done already though but at least we don't have to pay for lock out stage yet, so atleast one good thing to come from the error. Can you see what I mean about the bricks... grey and brown.
