Re: Metricon stacker vs bifold doors 4Sep 13, 2017 9:29 pm $1800. It's for a 2400mm x 4300mm stacker; however only covers the two sliding panes not the fixed one. Sits on the interior of the house. Pic attached; at different stages of the build. I was a bit taken aback at first because it was so obvious on the wooden doors, however with the stain - and our stain isn't that dark, in the last pic it has blended much better and is barely noticeable. So the flyscreen itself extends about 2.8m wide. So area wise it will be similar to my opening 2.8m H x 2.5m W. I'm surprised the builder installed it during the build and not once completed. Re: Metricon stacker vs bifold doors 8Sep 15, 2017 8:11 am Yep building with Metricon. I have a thread on it. Canterbury supplies the timber windows and doors; Southern Stars provide the aluminium windows. The aluminium windows in the pic are the semicommercial series (300). Re: Metricon stacker vs bifold doors 12May 10, 2018 8:18 am It is a very bouncy flyscreen. Not security at all. I love it Re: Metricon stacker vs bifold doors 13May 10, 2018 8:50 am I had a look at that yesterday at Studio/M. Very good design, and folds almost away to nothing when it's open all the way. The consultant told us that this screen is available on wooden and aluminium stackers (both 200 and 300 series) and also on standard sliding doors (but it's kind of a waste in that case). I didn't ask whether that could be used with bifolds, although with the way that it mounts in the track of the stacker doors, I don't see immediately how that could be used with bifolds since they open out both sides of their track. If it's normal wear and tear, then either will do, if you want resistance to ingress then laminated would be the favourite, but only… 1 12477 Sure looks like the type of track that I fitted to my house. My supplier said that the underside has a tray which drains to the front. They cut vertical slots in it.
