hi, can anyone offer some advice please?
Currently building our first home. After struggling to come in on budget on some fittings, I pulled out the original quote and spec to compare it to the one we're working off. This showed that the original spec stated "x amount allowance supplied by client" (for said fittings) while the spec we're working off shows a different amount at x. Essentially there's over $2000 difference. This led me to add up the totals as it appeared to be a simple error in information not being moved onto the new spec properly. I'm glad I checked the amounts as it appears there's more than $6000 "missing". I spoke to our builder regarding this and assured him I thought it was an innocent maths error. He denied the error and hasn't taken any action to remedy this stating that the contract is already signed. It's there in black and white between the original quote and spec to the current ones. There's over $6000 missing. Signed contract or not, surely this should be rectified? Thanks in advance
