Browse Forums Kitchen Corner 1 Sep 03, 2017 7:21 pm Any thoughts on the functionality and look of having handles on kitchen cabinets v no handles? We hadn't really thought too much about it until we visited display homes with no handles and thought it looked really great! But then a friend mentioned that if you have gloss cabinets (which we are planning to do at the moment) fingerprints would be visible over them all the time and they would be a nightmare to keep clean. Any experiences from people? To Handle or Not Handle???? 2Sep 03, 2017 7:25 pm I have had a kitchen without handles for the past 4 years and I love love love them, I'm doing my kitchen choices in a couple of weeks for my new build and definitely going with no handles again. I live the look and nit getting my clothes caught on handles.
Edit: of course doing my kitchen last week I chose handles for the bottom and no handles up top! I can’t make up my mind Re: To Handle or Not Handle???? 3Sep 04, 2017 11:15 am We went no handles on overhead cupboards for the cleaner line, and handles for lower. We have mostly drawers and I didn't want to lose the internal height that you do with no handles. Not as much of an issue if you have two large drawers but i wanted 1 small, two larger in each stack. Re: To Handle or Not Handle???? 4Sep 04, 2017 1:21 pm For me it really depends on a few things, The size of the kitchen and the amount of storage you need The type of handless kitchen you want, Sharknose or Push to Open. If you kitchen is on the smaller side and you have a lot of drawers I would suggest that sharknose isn't the way to go. With a normal set of drawers with sharknose it becomes almost impossible to double stack pots. For every drawer you loose 50mm in height with sharknose. My preference is a nice handle below bench and handle less above bench. Not sure if it will be as long lasting as a steel finish? 6 5724 Get some long brass machine screws and bolt right through the gate and put brass acorn nuts and washers on the other side. It will never come off 1 8001 2 6025 |
