I do not see any such requirement in the design guidelines. My builder says its a developer requirement. Could someone please confirm? Thanks in advance. Rendering is not Mandatory but is one of the options, you can also go with Moroka Paint (cheaper than rendering). If you see on Elara blvd there is a mixture of Render and Moroka paint on the front facade of the houses. Thanks Ausman could you please confirm if we need to paint/render the porch walls also or it is the requirement just for the piers? yourpalcliffy, It is not mandatory at all, my house does not have any render / moroka paint to the porch, mine is just on the balcony. For me, I remember the requirement was to have 3 types of materials to be used on the front facade, it can be any combinations. I just finalised my tender with Wisdom Homes. They advised it would take 6 weeks to get the contract plans. Please advise how long does council take to approve plans? I have to commence construction by 7th Jan 2018. I am a bit worried whether I have enough time. Please suggest if anything that I can do to accelerate approval process. If it's CDC, plans usually get approved within 10 business days. Just also be aware that most builders are still on holidays in early January and things don't normally return to normal until mid January. Cheers.
