The amount will be dependent on the prevailing wind when it is raining. As I said earlier, perhaps something can be done to the door to compensate. What would you like as an outcome? garage door gap need opinion 13Aug 22, 2017 9:20 pm Mate888 the service guys from the garage door said they cant adjust further down as it might damage the panel. can they level it by grinding the concrete ? They could. I can't see the other side of the garage door in photo 2, but usually there is a slight difference in height between the driveway and the garage floor to act as a bit of a lip to help stop water coming in during driving rain. Grinding will take that away, but will give you back a seal where there is currently a gap. You'll also notice on the slab where they ground it down, because aggregate will show up. Not really a big deal in a garage I would think, but still noticeable. They could also remove the seal and the bracket it is attached to and reinstall that at a slight angle, lower on the right hand side of the garage door (looking at it from the outside). That might be a better solution and shouldn't look odd as I now notice the driveway slab is angled down on that side too, presumably to aid runoff. Re: garage door gap need opinion 15Oct 28, 2017 1:59 pm Dude is the fall towards the drain, if so I'd be some what happy and that's so easy of a fix I'd buy U section 35mil looks right from here and pot rivert or tex screw whichever works best there. Lay some 4mil packers where the door would close, sit the U section on the packers, close door, screw or pot rivert on, job done. If done right using material that will suit, you'd never know it was a repair. If you could adjust the other side up a little will turn out mickey mouse. My garage door has started playing up recently. Sometimes (and getting more frequent) when I press the button to open it, it wont. The motor is an ATA GD0-6V3.
