Tiling has started 3947Aug 06, 2017 5:18 pm Charlibear, I'm sooo glad - every choice looks sooo lovely! The dark tiles in the bathroom - I was thinking a couple of orchids, and it will be like a flash bathroom in an exotic retreat - all relaxing, and darkly sexy. I love everything, I don't know why you were fretting so much about your choices - it looks amaaaayyyyzing! You'll make it look sooo good. How agonizing to be so close and yet still with the in-laws in your face... I second the Sainthood, and hereby confer on you The Order of The Awesomely Controlled. I for one would have lost it by now. Re: Charlibear's Build - Week 28... Tiling has started 3948Aug 07, 2017 5:58 am Love your tiles - your bathroom ones in shower look similar to ours. What an up down build all the way through I'm surprised Micah the clowns blood isn't all over those tiles Re: Charlibear's Build - Week 28... Tiling has started 3949Aug 07, 2017 7:53 pm what more can I say charlibear! Your home is looking AWSOME. Need more pics! Re: Charlibear's Build - Week 28... Tiling has started 3950Aug 08, 2017 12:37 pm Thanks!!! I love our house just want to live there already!!! Just received our next invoice for GJ which will only leave our last payment for handover left... Half of what they have invoice has not started... Tried to contact our SS to find out what's going on... Things they've invoiced us our variations (upgrades) items as an example
I failed to see any of these when I was there on Saturday... So they can just invoice me these items when they invoice our final payment because most of those items I don't see being installed until virtually the week before handover... Anyone invoiced for items before they received them? Did you pay them to keep the peace or refuse and paid once installed? Re: Charlibear's Build - Week 28... Tiling has started 3951Aug 08, 2017 12:56 pm I had an invoice for a stage where all items in that project part had not been completed. I think it was Enclosed Stage, they invoiced me, but I was still missing the entire back wall of my house I called the accounts lady and told her I wasn't enclosed yet, and therefore I wasn't paying yet. I got the revised invoice about 10 days later, and I went out to check and yes I finally had a rear wall Re: Charlibear's Build - Week 28... Tiling has started 3952Aug 08, 2017 1:28 pm I wouldn't pay that. I didn't receive my second last invoice until 2 weeks before handover as they hadn't done the stuff till then. ~Shellby~ GJ Bridgewater 203 11/3/2016 - Site Work Started 29/9/2016 - Handover 142 Work Days 6 Work Days Over https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=80174 Re: Charlibear's Build - Week 28... Tiling has started 3953Aug 08, 2017 3:12 pm I have paid variation invoices for all my upgrades post contract (eg. Upgraded a handle at colour selection, added in an extra PowerPoint etc) most of my additions were included prior to contract so were included in the contract, it's only the extra bits and pieces from colour selection/post drawings that were included in a variation invoice and paid upfront. Not sure if that helps at all Re: Charlibear's Build - Week 28... Tiling has started 3954Aug 08, 2017 3:17 pm the kitchen/laundry splash back tiles and the dark tiles in the bathroom look devine. Slowly getting there..... Re: Charlibear's Build - Week 28... Tiling has started 3955Aug 08, 2017 4:00 pm I sent an email back stating I will pay the variations above with final payment as the work is not yet complete. Also spoke to SS, painting started yesterday and will finish around Wednesday next week then tiler will come back for another week, also our drive way pad will be poured on Friday.
