Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Henley - Sahara 40 Build - Week 1 Day 3 Site Cut Done! 462Aug 04, 2017 11:30 am aloenyx Oh no!! ;-; Hopefully we get a few clear days for you. Thanks, what i dont understand is that some of the other builders, Such as carlisle who started after us already have slabs!! So Henley must be already behind the 8 ball with these and therefore its delaying this side of it as well. Delays happen and I knew it was going to be like this starting in winter, it just sucks haha! As We just want to see our slab and how it will sit on our block Re: Henley - Sahara 40 Build - Week 1 Day 3 Site Cut Done! 464Aug 07, 2017 1:40 pm Another day of delay! The concreter thought it was too wet today to box up the slab, however it hasnt been all that bad! I have to say this has been the slowest slab on the street! All the other builders who went to site had theirs inthe 1-2 week mark, we are now in week 4! However I dont mind waiting if it means we will have a qaulity slab Re: Henley - Sahara 40 Build - Week 1 Day 3 Site Cut Done! 465Aug 07, 2017 2:33 pm stayxtrue Another day of delay! Henley can play catch up game after that on the other hand my land is delayed because the developer has stuffed up the boundaries and doing paper work again - and the land has had no activity for the last 4 weeks, they were to get compliance last week of july. follow my build Arden homes Votivo 37 iin south east: https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=88622 Re: Henley - Sahara 40 Build - Week 1 Day 3 Site Cut Done! 466Aug 07, 2017 2:51 pm pEast stayxtrue Another day of delay! Oh no!! those sorts of delays are the worst as you cant see anything happening! Hopefully it gets all sorted for you asap! Yep! The slab is the most important thing as it is the foundation of your home! I have noticed so many builders laying slabs in this weather which can be a bad thing as the footings could be too wet to lay the slab! So I am actually glad that our concreter is being this strict as to when they do this. However in the same token its been a very boring 2 weeks as nothing has happened on site! Re: Henley - Sahara 40 Build - Week 1 Day 3 Site Cut Done! 468Aug 07, 2017 7:46 pm aloenyx The wait will be worth it for a quality slab I'm hoping so!! I'm looking forward to getting the pre slab inspection report as I have high hopes that they will do a good job with the prepping Re: Henley - Sahara 40 Build - Week 1 Day 3 Site Cut Done! 469Aug 09, 2017 12:03 pm Okay so the pre-pour inspection finally happened as our concreters had a nice day to setup for the job! I have to say I am extremely impressed with our concreters as they remained onsite for the Inspection and resolved all of the issues on the spot! Also the issues that were found were very very minimal! Granted our SS put their best concreter on the job as he knew about the inspection, I guess it goes to show that although minimul defects were found, that the inspection looming as produced an excellent start to what is going to be the base for our forever home! Secretly I am hoping for the slab to be pured today! The frame is set to start on tuesday so provding thats still on track we should be completely framed up before the end of august! This means that September can be the month where the bricks and plaster come together so that all of the internals can be completed! It finally feels like it is all moving along for us! Yay!
