So, pole to pit, back to pole? Lol Purely a money grab. What was the % disc on the tapware? I've used hansa and grohe before, but hansgrohe is even more expensive for most items. Re: Sloping & Narrow block: Modern Hamptons style build: FRA 250Aug 05, 2017 9:41 pm Yep. Agree. Sometimes you just have to roll up your sleeves and get stuff done. Hope all's well. Hey! no real updates, steel is delayed till Tuesday next week. I have a LOT of steel coming apparently, then base frame will be done by next week then Posi's and First floor after that. Hoping they can put the steel up in the bad weather expected next week. My current drama is that im struggling to get an answer from telstra about connecting Cable/Phone to our house. Every time I call I get a different answer! Hows things going with your place? Sloping & Narrow block: Modern Hamptons style build: FRAMING 254Aug 11, 2017 9:03 pm Christoshizz My current drama is that im struggling to get an answer from telstra about connecting Cable/Phone to our house. Every time I call I get a different answer! It's simple really. Ask for foxtel to connect cable TV. Usually the cheapest and best way to get the cable run. I had my foxtel guy run the conduit from the pit to the side of the house which actually runs underneath the driveway ( some fancy bore / conduit thing). The optus guy turned up two days later and used the conduit to pull through the coax from the pole. I've got either to use now. The key is run two conduits from the site pole which gives you plenty of options. When the builder did my driveway I actually put two conduits under it for the data but the foxtel guy ran his own... Go figure. Re: Sloping & Narrow block: Modern Hamptons style build: FRA 255Aug 11, 2017 9:12 pm Cheers Steve. The Bore thing is exactly what I'm trying to do. I got a quote from a Cabler and they wanted 500 bucks to bore under my neighbours driveway!! Re: Sloping & Narrow block: Modern Hamptons style build: FRA 257Aug 13, 2017 9:37 am Nice! but there are no service fuses nor any meters. Strange location? Is your garage more a carport thing. How does the service provider read the meter ? Re: Sloping & Narrow block: Modern Hamptons style build: FRA 258Aug 13, 2017 7:52 pm No meter readers. It's all smart meters done digitally. Garage is at rear of house so this was the only place for it Re: Sloping & Narrow block: Modern Hamptons style build: STE 259Aug 18, 2017 9:17 pm Finally an update. In the pouring rain and a hail storm in Melbourne today, our steel went in! It was delayed as they needed a special crane to put it on site, the other crane kept going close to power lines. That's an impressive amount of steel. The floor level out the back will be amazing for the views. Hopefully the rest of there framework can push ahead now as well as the roof trusses. So it looks like we finally have some movement on site! Definitely later than expected, but I'll take any progress at this point. I'll drop by over the weekend to get… 5 27693 Thanks again for this information. If you do hear anything different, would be great to know 4 8242 dimensions on your original plan are inconsistent and with accurate dimensions (including site plan, upstairs and down) i could make a proper scale drawing with furniture… 3 7514 |
