We are almost finished our build in stone ridge- just up the road. Unfortunately communication does seem to stop once the paperwork is signed. You kinda get used to this. Kinda... We have made a few changes to the plan, and (if this works) i will have attached the original Grange 29's plan, as well as my own 'homemade' (lol) modified plan... i am not tech savvy :/ The changes we have made are: - Relocated Bed 2 and Laundry to the Media - which leaves a big 'L' shaped Outdoor Living area - Added another stacker door to the dining room - Swapped Toilet and Shower in the main Bathroom - Removed IT hub and WIL, and created a Living area - Completely reconfigured Ensuite and WIR. WIR to have recessed door - Increased size of Pantry with the door being recessed - Moved Linen in Laundry to outside of Laundry and added a broom cupboard. I think thats about it for now Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Re: Coral Homes - Modified Grange 29 7Aug 01, 2017 9:51 pm 1sttimer_stoneridge Congratulations on unconditional finance! Do you have a thread? Hi, I do have a thread. I thought a link came up on my signature but I could be wrong. I'm building with Homes by CMA - the Ascot 260 (slightly modified). The are a smaller builder that's only been around 15yrs or so. They pride themselves on "what you see is what you get" display homes. Lots of stuff that others call upgrades are included as standards. The house is great. The price is great. The inclusions are great. The communication is far from great. They NEVER apologise for their mistakes or stuffing you around. Their admin team drive me mad! The build has only been 15 weeks so far so we are on track for 18 week build completion. But there has been some sore points along the way! I will be glad when it's done and I'm happy we made the decision to build, it's just been stressful and chaotic. We will be new to the area so I hope we have picked a nice place to build our forever home Building our forever home! I can already tell the communication will be horrible - even head office with Coral Homes takes ages to respond. I emailed my SC on friday, then Monday and still no reply. We will also be new to Narangba! Re: Coral Homes - Modified Grange 29 10Aug 02, 2017 2:55 pm Caydenn Welcome and congrats, this website is FILLED with Coral home builds! We are currently building with Coral in the Gold Coast and our land registered yesterday! Congrats on your land rego! I started following your thread the other day we Loveeeeeeee Ormeau Hills and originally wanted to build there, but it was too expensive for a 600m2 + block that was registered, and we didnt want to wait for the next release! Really looking forward to watching your build. Hopefully we can start and finish our builds at the same time - might be a race Re: Coral Homes - Modified Grange 29 11Aug 02, 2017 3:13 pm mj-mac4 Welcome! I'm in the process of building the grange 28 northern nsw. Still waiting on our land to register. Have you made many changes? Oooohhhh ill be closely watching your build! We originally went with the 28, but ended up with the 29 so we could have a larger outdoor living area. I like how you added a 5th bedroom - who needs 3 living areas hey!? Re: Coral Homes - Modified Grange 29 12Aug 02, 2017 7:12 pm I didn't know there was a grange 29! Are they new in 2017 or just in their own category on the website? I'm nearly finished building the baby of the family the Grange 20! Excited to see yours! Re: Coral Homes - Modified Grange 29 13Aug 02, 2017 7:21 pm klea I didn't know there was a grange 29! Hey Klea - ive been watching your build - not too long until you're in there! I cant wait until we get up to the stage you're at. Yup, the 28 and 29 are new this year Re: Coral Homes - Modified Grange 29 14Aug 03, 2017 12:25 pm We will be keenly watching your build. We live in Narangba (Forest Ridge) and have for 20 years where we have brought our kids up. It is a great area and great schools but with the kids moving out (both 20+), it is time to downsize the block and house and move onto the next stage. We are in the process of buying land at Redcliffe and building the Grange 25. We made the same change with putting bedroom 2 into the media and making our dining bigger. We also have a wrap around outdoor area. I agree, who needs 3 living area. Re: Coral Homes - Modified Grange 29 15Aug 03, 2017 12:39 pm bestspecials We will be keenly watching your build. We also made our dining 1 metre bigger! Happy to hear Narangba is a good place to live - we have a young family (20 months and 3 month old girls) so good schools are very important to us. Im hoping we'll be in our new home before you start your build, so ill take lots of pics for you to compare Re: Coral Homes - Modified Grange 29 16Aug 03, 2017 7:06 pm I will put something up when I have a better drawing. Looks very similar, just narrower as our block is only 12.5m wide. So maybe ill get some notifications now lol. Im still a few weeks away from selections as i havent even got my tender letter yet - i think that will be ready on the 4th of Sep. So im just twiddling my thumbs waiting to get started. I had to change SC's on the weekend, as my SC never returned any of my messages, so i am a bit behind with everything. Like you, i love seeing everyones selections! I have gained so many ideas since jumping on this - its great. We spent close to 2 years in a process with TA. It was horrible..... we got to tender, and the first cut was 50% over our budget which "they care such about meeting ".
