It will annoy you everyday otherwise when you look at those power points as you drag the toaster out to the kitchen thinking of how much better your original set up was. As for the fence maybe contact the developer and see if they have a problem with it and if they are fine get it in writing (or get the builder to chase this up as they stuffed it up). You could also just try to keep quiet about it and hope for the best but if you sign off on it the builder will probably tell you that you have to wear the cost if the developer comes knocking. You should be fussy at the PCI. You've paid good money for your house so shouldn't have to accept substandard workmanship. We picked up on small stuff and our supervisor was happy to get it fixed as it was just small niggly stuff that wasn't hard to fix. In fact our supervisor picked up more small niggly things than we did I think Our build thread with Smart Homes for Living in Wellard https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=86092 Re: Building the Bella with Homes by CMA in North Harbour, S 211Jul 26, 2017 8:40 am Oh no! But at least it is still this week. I still have absolutely no idea when mine will be and your slab was only laid 4 days before mine - such is life. I cannot wait to hear how it goes - be FIRM! You are paying a lot of money for a 'brand new house' not a house with things that you don't want or will regret Had a look through the windows yesterday - only flooring to go from what I can see! Yay. Re: Building the Bella with Homes by CMA in North Harbour, S 212Jul 26, 2017 8:48 am Thanks Bob and Maddie. I think you're right Bob, I think I need to get them to remove that 4th shelf... it's going to drive me bonkers otherwise Anyone else got any thoughts as to the fence, or the garden drain thingies? Re: Building the Bella with Homes by CMA in North Harbour, S 213Jul 27, 2017 7:26 am Stopped by the house last night. It was pitch black so I couldn't see much, except that they'd left the outside lights all on so at least I could see the front. Items completed in the last 48 hours: Landscaping - gardens - DONE Driveway - DONE Painting finish off, and feature wall in study - DONE Door hardware (both internal and front door) and doorstops - DONE (well, door handles are anyway) Letterbox - DONE Clothesline - DONE Current outstanding items that I know of: Landscaping - turf, front and back Stain front door Aircon install Bathroom bits (towel rails & toilet paper holders etc) Builder's clean I can see no reason why they can't get all of the above done in the next 29 hours... fingers crossed! In regard to my PCI items I posted about above, I've decided: 1) WIP - I'm going to ask to have that shelf removed 2) Fence - I'm going to ask them if they will change it only if the estate come back at me to demand it match the plans. Otherwise I will leave it as is 3) garden drain thingies - 1sttimerstoneridge was super smart and suggested I take a bucket and some food colouring with me, and pour blur water down one drain and yellow down another and then go out the front and watch to see if they exit into the guttering 4) I'm going to be picky. If it wouldn't be good enough for their display home, then it won't be good enough for me 29.5 hours to PCI.....
