Re: {Dawn} SE Melb Build - Handover Countdown! 1790Jul 22, 2017 10:40 pm aloenyx I'm glad Von. Been second guessing myself all day, since its so much money but I think it will work out... Trying to buy new kitty litter trays now.. stupidly hard to figure out the best deal. I love the gate!! Good choice I was told when I moved my 12 year old kitty a few months ago to keep the same litter trays if possible for a few weeks at least until the kitty is used to the new surrounds. They suggested using the same tray and the old litter so that it's familiar to the cat to minimise stress and chance of them toileting on carpet etc. it seemed to work for my cat, I will do it again when my house is finally ready. Re: {Dawn} SE Melb Build - Handover Countdown! 1791Jul 22, 2017 10:41 pm I think you made an excellent choice for the gates - I really like them and it will look awesome! - B A vue of the pines on the Gold Coast forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=87210 Re: {Dawn} SE Melb Build - Handover Countdown! 1793Jul 22, 2017 10:54 pm aloenyx Thanks all. Oh the new kitty litter tray is for my older girl, as she doesn't have one currently she's an outdoor kitty... though not for much longer. Ah I get it now! You must be so excited!! I drove past my house today and saw some neighbours moving in...it seemed so surreal, like it will soon be happening to me and it feels like it's so far off but not at the same time if that makes sense Re: {Dawn} SE Melb Build - Handover Countdown! 1794Jul 22, 2017 11:25 pm I totally get you. It still doesn't seem real that in two weeks I won't be living here!! It doesn't quite compute. And when I do sort of think about it as a reality, rather as a 'things to be done list', I get quite anxious. I have to focus on the good things about moving into my new house, otherwise I get panic attacks/anxiety. I had really bad anxiety when I first moved out of my own before the whole house thing, took about a month to start settling in... and when I moved back home I was happy that was going to be over, but found out that moving home was the same!!! So turns out its the 'change' of moving that sets me off, not the location.. so trying to prepare for that as its not fun.. but maybe I'll get lucky and this time will be easier, after all I've had 3 years to get use to the idea, and this time its my house versus a rented apartment or my parents place.. and I'll have my kitties to keep me company D Still nervous though.. Re: {Dawn} SE Melb Build - Handover Countdown! 1796Jul 23, 2017 12:17 pm Just found out I have to pay a $300 fee to get my NBN connected regardless of which company I go with ;-; grumpy. I didn't budget for $300!!! Debating between iiNet or Amaysim. Amaysim is about $920 a year with no lock in contract and modem provided. iiNet is $1050 - $1139 a year depending on whether I go lock-in or not. Any suggestions? I was just discussing this with my nephew and his girlfriend who finished building last month. They also paid around $300 on nbn but they went with TPG. I on the other hand, am with telstra Velocity, and had to pay $1000 to Coral homes for the Infrastructure, but when we joined with telstra for the plan there was no other fee involved. My brother was with iinet on nbn and he was disappointed with the service so broke his contract. He's with telstra too now and his service is top notch like mine, no dropouts or anything. He's in Brisbane and I'm on the Gold Coast. Yeah it's a new area connection fee I believe. We had it too Telstra didn't make us pay it up front tho it was split over the first 3 months bills Building with Perry Homes: viewtopic.php?t=84756 Re: {Dawn} SE Melb Build - Handover Countdown! 1799Jul 23, 2017 3:47 pm Not looking forward to the fee... wonder if I can absorb it over 3 months too.. Belong has the cheapest plan at $790 on a 12 month plan, including the modem. But I hate Telstra.. and the online reviews are pretty nasty. Amaysim is $920 over 12 months, but no lock in contract... including the modem. I have my mobile plan with them and have never had an issue. iiNet is most expensive at $1050 a month, but on a 24 month contract including the modem... reviews are all over the place. My parents are with Optus, but our service is terrible.. some days can't even use the internet its that slow. When we rang them they told us it was due to traffic in our area.. so I asked them if they were only going to give me half the speed, could I pay half the bill P I think I'm gonna sign up with Amaysim, can do it online easily.. and hopefully if I kick it off now it will be ready by the time I move in. At least if I don't like their service, the modem is paid for and I can change straight away. Re: {Dawn} SE Melb Build - Handover Countdown! 1800Jul 23, 2017 4:10 pm How did people get there NBN set up? They are telling me 2-3 weeks to get it installed, but I need to be home all day for them to come and do it.. but you know I have a job.. live alone, and don't know my neighbors well enough to let them be there... plus I like.. don't actually live there yet.. but was hoping to have it done BEFORE I moved in. Any providers that have a better way to get it done? I work with owner, he/she is my man on the ground and I instruct them when to visit the site and take photos and I have other tools in the bag. 4 15439 I am in the same situation, would you be able to give some insights in to this? I am in SA 8 17191 Depends what you're current inclusions are, but we're not including wardrobes and will just use second hand ones until we can save later on to get them built. Also have a… 3 11822 |
