Nothing too major in there. Mostly cosmetic stuff the builder had already picked up on like outside paintwork incomplete and a couple of doors biting. He did also pick up a dent in a window sill that we missed during our walkthrough. He also pointed out that the sarking in the roof had no sag in it, apparently according to the manufacturer it should have a 40mm sag. Although he also told us most builders in Perth seem to install it without the sag and the main reason he picks up on it is because he use to install it. He said it won't affect the performance of the sarking, he just listed it as a defect because it goes against the installation guide from the manufacturer. The only way to fix it is to rip the tiles off and relay it which he didn't recommend doing. We also noticed a design flaw with our kitchen. The overhead cupboard closest to the cook top doesn't open all the way due to the rangehood. It still opens wide enough for it to be a perfectly functional cupboard, it just didn't occur to us that when it was open it would hit the rangehood. aloenyx Congrats. Sounds like it went well. We might be moving in at the same time I know that 's crazy! I feel kind of bad because you have had to wait so long for your move in date but at the same time I'm glad that you are finally getting your keys!
