(Which is a big one as we have quite strict development guidelines in our estate!) And final documents were posted out today What sort of covenants did you need to meet m0llss? Ours didn't have heaps just minimum setback, that the front of the house couldn't be flat, maximum site coverage and that you couldn't have anything on the front of the roof (solar panels, antennas, foxtel dishes etc) but I know some people who've had to have certain colours, multiple materials on the front of the house and all sorts of restrictions on the appearance. Follow our build with Express Two Storey (Ventura Group): http://tinyurl.com/jlykgph We had to have two different materials on the front elevation, in addition to a "design feature" which was either a gable, balcony, gabelets, a bay window, timber or weatherboard cladding. No front fences or walls are allowed, we have to have a verandah, porch or portico, with a minimum depth of 1.5m. Darker colours are to only be used as a "feature colour" for the house frontage, and we have to have two different colours. We also aren't meant to have a shed, or any ancillary buildings visible from the front of our house. It sounds quite strict but when you look at it like that, and I did think it was irritating at first, but once you drive around the estate it all looks great as every house looks different and each house has its own individual look and feel, it's more personalised. (Not every house has the same dark grey render and roof ). The render colours are meant to be lighter to make the houses look lighter and more "open" I think the aim of the estate regulations is to make the estate family friendly and open, and encourages connection between neighbours. Which I can already see is happening! Re: M & C's First Build with HGWA - Eglinton 108Jul 28, 2017 3:25 pm Natasha Wow that was fast m0llss! I'm still waiting for mine.. although I did change a couple things since prestart. Gonna give them another week before I call I reckon. Haha it felt like forever we were waiting for!! We changed a few things after prestart as we were told we couldn't have them (locations of a few lights on bulkheads etc) Re: M & C's First Build with HGWA - Eglinton 111Aug 03, 2017 9:03 am That's awesome m0llss!!
