I m living your story now tash, moved closer to the house build area, am still struggling to get builders DH were sloppy in getting me quotes and keep telling that they will get me quotes for insurance and then 2 weeks before saying that they are pretty tight and can't deliver the home like after 4 months all they had to tell me can't do it, like they knew that they can't do but telling me after 4 months And keep giving me Ashford homes story, now i have thrown in the towel and have asked insurance to step in and complete it for me, also with my house being left at the last stage there is an issue of withholding compliance certificates by trades amd that is deterring them from giving me quotes. I have contacted VBA and Building Dispute resolution and they fully supported me, and have informed me to legally they can get it from them,and that I shouldn't be paying them money for their past work done on the house. So a bit of struggle and finding who is who in the zoo...
