Our stove top 2. Our rangehood 3. Our upgraded 900mm Westinghouse oven (can't wait to see multiple roasts go in 4. Our double bowl kitchen sink Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ WINDOW TREATMENTS (keep in mind all walls will be painted white like the picture) 1. Black vertical blinds to the alfresco & laundry sliding doors 2. Black roller blinds to all other windows besides bathrooms & wc's (deleted window treaments to these as the windows are tiny and the glazing included to these windows give us a lot of privacy) Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ LAUNDRY SLIDING DOOR with Bright Silver Frame. Mirror frames are also Bright Silver Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ BATHROOMS 1. Bathroom & Ensuite Basin 2. Bath spout 3. All mixer handles will be the Star 35's 4. Our shower head to the bathroom (they didn't have our shower head we wish to upgrade to in the showroom. It is pretty much the same as this but just a wider head as we felt this head was too small for us) Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ PAVING Alfresco paving is Easipave Grey with a border of the Natural in a herringbone pattern Driveway & entry paving will be the Easipave Charcoal with border of the Natural (unsure what pattern, we asked for herringbone but we were unable to have it as it wasn't sturdy enough for a driveway) Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ RENDER (Main) & Front & Internal Door Colours Our main render colour is this Solver Grey Pearl, we have a pier running up the house that has a contrast render (this will match our garage door which is Colorbond Monument) Our front door is one of those blue colours below (wish I had taken a picture of the name) but it will be a darker blue so you get the gist Our internal doors will be a light grey also. I wanted to keep plain white internal doors. Partner wanted the light grey. I compromised on this one. Can always sand them back and repaint them at a later date. Just waiting on estimates back for our upgrades and then we can go into drafting which can take up to a month I believe Re: Our build with Easystart Homes in Carissa Estate (Sevill 63Jul 12, 2017 10:10 am Selections look great! We have the freestanding 900mm Westinghouse oven included and they're huuuge! How exciting. Looks like me you and Natasha are all at around the same stage. Will be interesting to see how each build progresses! Re: Our build with Easystart Homes in Carissa Estate (Sevill 64Jul 12, 2017 10:18 am Natasha Love your selections!! The 900mm appliances are SO worth the upgrade.. Our slab should be around that same time - so exciting! Thank you! I'm not really into cooking but that oven is making me want to spend more time in the kitchen already hahaha Definitely very exciting!! I'm kind of hoping we have a hiccup though and our slab doesn't go down until early October as we are going away to Phuket for 10 days at the beginning of October and already I don't want to miss being able to see any progress! I will probably end up harassing my family to go have a drive and give me updates Re: Our build with Easystart Homes in Carissa Estate (Sevill 65Jul 12, 2017 10:22 am m0llss Selections look great! Will be interesting to see how each build progresses! Thanks m0llss! As soon as I spotted it I had to have it. Partner felt the same aswell which was a big bonus Fingers crossed all our builds are smooth and don't have any major hurdles, will be interesting to see how each company tracks along in the progress since we're all with different major building companies Re: Our build with Easystart Homes in Carissa Estate (Sevill 66Jul 12, 2017 10:28 am jad33mily m0llss Selections look great! I hope there isn't any major hurdles either! Will be interesting to see if there is any difference in timeline NOR and SOR too!! Re: Our build with Easystart Homes in Carissa Estate (Sevill 67Jul 13, 2017 2:38 pm Nice selections. I think the 900mm oven is worth the upgrade. I hardly use the oven in our rental and cook most stuff outside but I can't wait to fire up our new big oven when we move into our new place. Our build thread with Smart Homes for Living in Wellard https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=86092 Re: Our build with Easystart Homes in Carissa Estate (Sevill 68Jul 13, 2017 9:59 pm Appliances are definitely worth the upgrade, we've got 900mm Westinghouse ones too but our stove is the newer model because they told us the one in the picture had been discontinued. Only difference is the wok burner is by itself on the left and the knobs are along the front so didn't make any real difference though. I originally asked her to price up a 1200 wide door which was an additional price of $211 but my partner does not want to lose any width to the door due to framing so back to waiting for a price for 1250 wide door (large door required due to having quads, bikes, trailers, etc we need to go through there to out the back). We looked into doing a roller door which would have given us a credit back (already added the original 820 door in the very beginning) but they would only do a roller door that was 1100 wide as to allow for tracks which is a bummer. Once that is all signed off we head into drafting, looking forward to keeping the ball rolling along. We submit for our conditional finance in two weeks time aswell (had to wait for our deposit to be in our account 3 months to be deemed genuine savings by Keystart). Fingers crossed there are no issues with finance or Keystart, I have heard mixed reviews about the admin process with Keystart so hoping there are no issues. Re: Our build with Easystart Homes in Carissa Estate (Sevill 71Jul 17, 2017 9:51 pm We went through keystart, not to scare you but it did take about three to four months from conditional approval to unconditional... their admin is verrrry slow. But we had a good broker which helped Re: Our build with Easystart Homes in Carissa Estate (Sevill 72Jul 17, 2017 10:09 pm m0llss We went through keystart, not to scare you but it did take about three to four months from conditional approval to unconditional... their admin is verrrry slow. Did you have to request for many finance extensions on your land due to the timeframe it took for them to unconditionally approve you? We are on our first extension already and i am worried they will charge us if there is too many extensions or lose our land if it takes too long 😔 Re: Our build with Easystart Homes in Carissa Estate (Sevill 73Jul 17, 2017 10:22 pm jad33mily m0llss We went through keystart, not to scare you but it did take about three to four months from conditional approval to unconditional... their admin is verrrry slow. A bit why our process took longer too as we didn't have house plans or land finalised! Ah I see, hopefully our broker can explain the timeframe a bit better at our meeting to lodge for finance in a couple of weeks time Re: Our build with Easystart Homes in Carissa Estate (Sevill 76Jul 18, 2017 12:01 am I went through Keystart too and it was fairly straightforward. My broker friend made sure everything was prepared well in advance (and I had a heap of time too so made sure I had given them more than enough info). Only issue for me was they didn't accept my bonus as income, so I had to pay down and refinance a small personal loan to get the repayments down to an acceptable level. It added 5-6 weeks to the process but I was still waiting on titles from memory so it didn't delay anything. In my experience they generally responded quite quickly so hopefully you have the same! Follow my build here Re: Our build with Easystart Homes in Carissa Estate (Sevill 77Jul 27, 2017 7:16 pm So we've just completed drafting, woohoo. Have come up with a few hurdles in regards to our variation. The major one being that construction will not allow our 1200mm wide door in the garage now, they suggested shifting the house 60mm to the left and reducing the living/dining & alfresco by 300mm to allow for two doors but that was not happening. Hopefully they will just allow us to have a 1200 wide opening and we will sort doors ourselves. Guess we should have thought how we would fit the partners toys out the back at the beginning... Should hopefully have our final plans & documents in the next week or so once the issues have been fixed. Finance due for lodgement next week. Fingers crossed the ball keeps on rolling at this pace from here on to slab down Re: Our build with Easystart Homes in Carissa Estate (Sevill 78Aug 09, 2017 1:30 pm Not a major update but just received an email advising our home loan paperwork has now been lodged to Keystart. Eek. Should receive news within the next week if we have been pre-approved and the next steps for formal approval. Also notified they have almost finished completion of our final plans & documents to be sent out to us 🎉 Good thing we are busy the next few weeks to keep my mind off our loan application 😬 Re: Our build with Easystart Homes in Carissa Estate (Sevill 80Aug 10, 2017 4:57 pm We have been conditionally approved for our home loan woohoo :: So shocked with the day turnaround, I expected it to take at least a week for pre-approval! I bet formal approval will be the killer now hahaha of course there are legal avenues. You've already mentioned it. Sue them.
