Hallmark said they couldn't do it for me, but if I wanted they could put a recess in the cabinets for $460!!!! I hope the sparky we get can help me out and maybe put some down lights in the cupboards?! So how much did you end up spending in total? Looking forward to seeing your colours! - B A vue of the pines on the Gold Coast forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=87210 Re: Manhattan 23 - Coral Homes (Riverstone Crossing) 67Jul 10, 2017 10:58 pm ruraldoc Woo-hoo! Congrats on selections! All those prices look comparable to what we have been quoted so that seems reassuring... or we are both getting schooled! Though really it's not the individual prices it's the quantities that add up that kills you!! Look forward to colours! Oh that's reassuring yes it adds up so fast! Coral haven't said there will be a charge for the LED recess so fingers crossed... I haven't budgeted for anymore costs We ended up spending $6,300 in variations (so this was on top of the $4000 approx already included by Coral) we had a $5000 allowance in our contract though so $1300 over which was basically the Clipsal lights, LED strip, extra powerpoints and I forgot to mention we added a sensor for the light under the garage eaves so it turns on automatically when we drive or walk up the driveway ☺ Il put up colours info over next few days, so much to write and we just moved in with our parents to trying to unpack and make the most of our nights I will have to catch up on your build! How's your land registration going? We have now been told our will most likely be pushed into late August Re: Manhattan 23 - Coral Homes (Riverstone Crossing) 69Jul 10, 2017 11:14 pm Oh Steph, it just sucks waiting for land to register - especially when they go and change the dates! I haven't heard any more news regarding our land - still hoping for September. One things for sure you'l be building before me! - B A vue of the pines on the Gold Coast forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=87210 Re: Manhattan 23 - Coral Homes (Riverstone Crossing) 70Jul 11, 2017 9:02 am How exciting The electrical plan looks amazing, if you don't mind me asking how much was the electrical extra on it's own and how much was the Colour (MyChoice) selections extra? Thanks Re: Manhattan 23 - Coral Homes (Riverstone Crossing) 71Jul 11, 2017 9:14 am Caydenn How exciting The electrical plan looks amazing, if you don't mind me asking how much was the electrical extra on it's own and how much was the Colour (MyChoice) selections extra? Thanks Thank you! No worries ☺ il post colours in more detail later but electrical was approx. $6,300 over the $4000 already supplied by coral (happy to share our quote with you over private message). We had a $5000 allowance so we are paying $1,300 extra to cover it. Colours we don't have confirmed pricing but estimated we spent $3154 (will be confirmed in about a week and there are two maybe items we added which are not included that we are waiting to get pricing on) we had a $2000 allowance so will pay the extra ourselves. I'm not building with coral but we did our electricals yesterday and didn't really get any costs so your list was super helpful for me to use as an estimate. Re: Manhattan 23 - Coral Homes (Riverstone Crossing) 75Jul 15, 2017 12:16 pm COLOUR APPOINTMENT (MYCHOICE) Sorry this took so long to write up! We have had a crazy week and have to relocate one of our dogs and not sure what is happening with the other one while the house is being built For anyone about to build with Coral Homes I would highly recommend searching the forum and reading as many Coral builds as you can to get an idea for pricing and upgrade options. Also definitely visit the MyChoice showroom - they do viewings on Saturdays on the Gold Coast. Note: Prices are only approx. given to us on the day, we have to wait 5 business days to get pricing confirmed by estimators.. hopefully it is the same or similar - we have already blown our budget haha *Added translucent laminate to front door - $70 *Wall colour - Lexicon Half *Duluxe paint Wash n Wear upgrade - $199 *Silk finish laminate to overhead cupboards only -$300 *1500 Posh Solus free standing bath $250 *Longer towel rack to ensuite - $35 *Adding fly-screens to family cornerless stacker door (Pricing TBC) *Under-mount sink -$500 *Tap upgrade -$250 *Caesarstone deluxe colour upgrade to Snow - $750 *40mm Caesarstone island bench upgrade - $600 *Vinyl upgrade (from laminate) - $1 per SQM - approx. $150 *Handle upgrade to bathrooms (to match kitchen selections) -$50 *Custom vanity extension to ensuite (TBC) Other pricing that was too expensive so we didn't get: *Handless cupboards / drawers to kitchen $1500+ *Silk laminate to all cupboards $1000+ PICTURES OF SELECTIONS: Vinyl: Wood Effects Blonde Wood Caesarstone: Snow Carpet: Not sure of colour.. it was standard from in-the-loop range Tiles: matte white walls and light grey floor (bathrooms), matte white brick subway tiles (kitchen splashback / laundry splashback) Walls: Lexicon Half Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Laundry: Floor tiles are white with texture through it and white subway tile splashback.. Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Kitchen Sink / Tap: We went with the far left tap, does anyone think its too big? This will be our sink but under-mount.. To get an upgraded square bowl sink under-mount it was going to be $1500+, so we compromised and got this one.. Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Handles: I REALLY wanted handless cupboards / drawers throughout but my partner (and the colour consultant) wouldn't let me get it because of the cost so we went with these middle rectangular looking matte silver handles for drawers in second largest size and will do the top notch hidden handle (like above the ones we are getting) for cupboards. Overhead cupboards are already handless so hoping it will still look good.. Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Exterior Selections: We already had our facade in our tender so we chose all our exterior colours based on inclusions to get the look we wanted without upgrading anything. Facade: Mornington Brick: Rice Render / bag n paint: Mt Aspiring Roof, Facia, Gutter: Surfmist Garage: Shale Grey in Seville profile Window Frames: White (have not seen many houses with this so hoping it will look good!) Door Stain: Bondi Sands (we have a flyscreen on our front door for BAL rating so hoping it doesn't look horrible!) Here is how it should look in terms of colouring: Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Now we are waiting for our first set of variations to be fixed.. also I asked our CSO a few questions after our appointments but am yet to hear back.. if anyone knows the answers? Questions: *Can we move phone point to study nook (currently in media) *Where will the aircon control be - do we get to choose this? *Where will the aircon ducts be and do we get to choose this? *Outdoor taps - where will these be? *Where is our manhole and can we move to garage if not already? *Recessed cornerless stacker doors - how much? Our land registration is also looking like it has been pushed into late August, such a pain but at least we can save more money to cover our colour and electrical spend Re: Manhattan 23 - Coral Homes (Riverstone Crossing) 76Jul 15, 2017 8:49 pm Gorgeous selections sweets, will look lovely and all flow together!! Can't really help with the questions because I'm not building with Coral but it does us around $250 to recess our stackers on top of the cost of the stackers, worth every cent in my opinion because it's creating that seem less look that most people want with the cornerless stackers Re: Manhattan 23 - Coral Homes (Riverstone Crossing) 77Jul 15, 2017 8:55 pm charlibear Gorgeous selections sweets, will look lovely and all flow together!! Oh that seems so cheap.. I just bet they will charge us a $200 variation on top as well because we didn't even know they existed until a week ago I wish they gave you all your options when you ask about things! I just checked our costing, it was $242 to recess them and $110 to recess the activity room door. Ahh bummer they will charge $200 but if you can do it I say do it because in 2 years time an extra $500 will be nothing and you could look back and kick yourself for it Re: Manhattan 23 - Coral Homes (Riverstone Crossing) 79Jul 15, 2017 9:35 pm You should be able to position your taps because we did. Though have now lost one as it won't pass council wish they had told us this at contract plan stage as we now have no tap near garage. Phone point should be able to be positioned at your electrical appointment Re: Manhattan 23 - Coral Homes (Riverstone Crossing) 80Jul 15, 2017 9:40 pm Very nice, those colours will look very fresh in your house. Love the colours for the externals too, some similar colours to me but used differently, looks great. Hi Everyone I learned something this week that I thought would be worth sharing. In NSW a lot of developers of subdivisions put covenants on the land which normally… 0 6533 1 15753 Ask the council if there is a chance of getting build over easement exemption. Sometimes easements are unused and 24cm is not all that much. Good luck. And yes any builder… 2 13769 |
