They'll go with everything. The only think I worry about when choosing glass pendants is them getting dusty and requiring constant cleaning! But I totally love the look Our 37sq Custom Hamptons Inspired Home: http://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?t=86931 Re: Express Two Storey (Ventura Group) build in Hocking, WA 126Jul 10, 2017 10:46 pm m0llss I love pendants!! The kitchen island ones are amazing! We are doing two feature pendants on either side of our bed and three above our kitchen island! There's sooo many to choose from and I love them all! I think they'll all look great! Thanks m0llss! Lighting is so hard, there's literally so many choices and trying to tie everything together is hard. I was thinking if I stick with the black throughout the ground floor to "ground" all the white and lighter colours in that space and I can tie it in with some little touches of black in the accessories then go with the other ones for our upstairs master bedroom because I want that to be really light, airy and relaxing. I thought maybe it'd be nice for the upstairs bedroom to have a slightly different vibe to the rest of the house so it really feels like a retreat? I actually found the flush mount oyster lights worse because they got both dusty and the little bugs would get trapped inside whereas the pendant shades just got dusty! Follow our build with Express Two Storey (Ventura Group): http://tinyurl.com/jlykgph Yes that's a great idea. Considering the upstairs space is smaller and less open if there's bedrooms, it will help to brighten it up and seem a bit more open. Less is more in that sense too! It all looks really good and I can't wait to see it all come together Re: Express Two Storey (Ventura Group) build in Hocking, WA 129Jul 12, 2017 12:44 pm Hi Mrs Doe Beacon Lighting have an app where you can snap a pic of your house and then place a light in there to see what it could potentially look like. Pendant lighting above the counter will look great!! We have gone for 2 big feature lights above our dining table from Freedom, they also have some great lights. How exciting for you, not long to go now Re: Express Two Storey (Ventura Group) build in Hocking, WA 130Jul 12, 2017 12:59 pm Love all those lights!! Its so hard making all the decisions, isn't it! I make myself feel better by thinking that I've already made the big $$ decisions (block, house builder, house design etc), if I make a mistake with some of the decorating its nowhere near as costly to fix/change..... Still feel stressed tho, but not quite as stressed. courtslesk Hi Mrs Doe Beacon Lighting have an app where you can snap a pic of your house and then place a light in there to see what it could potentially look like. How exciting for you, not long to go now Oh that's a good idea, unfortunately the only light fitting I like from Beacon is the drum pendant I'm eyeing for the master bedroom. Last time we built I think I bought all our light fittings at Beacon but this time there's not a lot there that I'm in love with. Yes this is so true, I've been accumulating bits and pieces for he house over the last six months though so now it's getting everything to work together nicely so I've been obsessing over the lighting a bit . I've bought a new dining table, stools for the island, couch and dining table plus I've just had Mr Doe pick up a second hand coffee table from Gumtree earlier this week that I'm going to start sanding back this weekend and refurbish because I couldn't find anything in the shops which suited but now I'm trying to imagine kitchen, light fittings, paint colour, furniture etc all in one space and how they're going to look. Some of the small items I picked up with the supervisor at the last meeting are due to be fixed tomorrow too. Everything seems to be coming along and starting to come together. Good on you. House looks lovely nice and clean. I think we are totally having the same kitchen sink and tap - very good taste! If you're having no joy with Beacon try Lighting Superstore online. The have a huge range, a bit cheaper, and you can shop by style e.g. Hamptons, modern etc. Our 37sq Custom Hamptons Inspired Home: http://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?t=86931 Re: Express Two Storey (Ventura Group) build in Hocking, WA 136Jul 17, 2017 9:32 pm Mr Doe dropped by this afternoon while he was in the area after a meeting and they've installed our timber venetians, most of the framing around the air con ducting in the store room, towel rails, wardrobe railings and were putting the skirt boards in upstairs. Hoping that means flooring goes in soon, the painter and cabinet maker are definitely supposed to be there this week based on the emails we've received. Starting to get excited like it's almost here! My folks have them in their place but our budget didn't stretch that far We've only put them in the bedrooms and theatre for now and will deal with the rest of the windows later on. We went into Curtain World last week to get a quote for the linen sheers I want for the three open plan living area windows and a blockout for the theatre and I almost fell off my seat at the sale price let alone the full cost of them so it'll much, muuuuuccchh later Follow our build with Express Two Storey (Ventura Group): http://tinyurl.com/jlykgph Follow our build with Express Two Storey (Ventura Group): viewtopic.php?f=31&t=85122 Re: Express Two Storey (Ventura Group) build in Hocking, WA 139Jul 18, 2017 10:00 pm Feeling super excited -- PCI is booked for the 31st of July so we should get our keys mid-August Follow our build with Express Two Storey (Ventura Group): http://tinyurl.com/jlykgph Follow our build with Express Two Storey (Ventura Group): viewtopic.php?f=31&t=85122 Re: Express Two Storey (Ventura Group) build in Hocking, WA 140Jul 18, 2017 10:13 pm mrsdoe Feeling super excited -- PCI is booked for the 31st of July so we should get our keys mid-August Follow our build with Express Two Storey (Ventura Group): http://tinyurl.com/jlykgph Congratulations!!!! there is a few calculators you can use if you just google it 7 7524 4 14400 Hi, We're building a double-storey in Perth and I'm undecided with the kitchen sink situation.
