First post here, went out to do my PCI today and Simonds told me on the spot that there is a new "company policy" that either its us (the purchaser) or the independant inspector can do the PCI. Not together but only one party.
So i question is this follow the legal system in Victoria and the regional manager said "it must me, because its from our HQ"
Then i ask him, why wasn't i inform prior the PCI and they said they send me a letter and i've signed it off weeks ago. But little did they know i bought all the paper work with me and there aren't any of course since i clearly remember they only reply emails, phone calls once in a blue moon. Worst of all, i was actually on holiday in Asia, so how can i possibly sign anything off?
I then ask them to show me the proof of the document that i've signed since his so sure i've done it, which straight away, the Regional manager change the topic by saying "this is going no where"
As far as i know, we are allow to employ or hire an independant inspector to do the PCI with us.
Does anyone have the same problem or do they know if what Simonds doing is illegal?
And just for everyone else amusment, the following are the conversation i had with Simonds before i refused their BS new policy.
The regional manager said "we are building 800 homes at the moment and they all agree to do the same thing, we fix their house with no problems."
My reply was "i've spoke to lots of your customer and they all have lots of problems"
Then he said "but thats their problem, not yours, your house don't have those problems"
why dont you tell them about your new policy. If they can come up with a neew policy I dont see why you cant.
I have come up with my own "policies" many times to highlight how stupid companies really are.,
