Re: Building in Melbourne with Metricon - Delta 25 14Jun 30, 2017 9:01 am We're thinking of laminate flooring and we got a quote from floor world in caroline springs from $60 to $80 per square meter. This price factors in underlay and installation. Of course there's more expensive types but this is within our budget. From what i understand, if you go with the basic flooring package with Metricon, it works out cheaper but if you upgrade, it works out cheaper through a third party. Re: Building in Melbourne with Metricon - Delta 25 15Jul 06, 2017 11:22 pm Today we looked at flooring, which, as I mentioned, we are doing post handover. Checked out Western Distributors in Sunshine to look at timber look laminate and carpeting. Highly recommend for customer service and reasonable pricing. Here are some photos: Different laminate flooring options. Re: Building in Melbourne with Metricon - Delta 25 17Jul 18, 2017 3:41 pm Don't expect that to be much of a tool to track actual progress. I only used it to make sure payments from the bank hit their account so we didn't get hit with problems. Re: Building in Melbourne with Metricon - Delta 25 18Jul 19, 2017 2:27 pm Cellaraso @pauldab Did you block off the front of the house from the back with doors? Or block off the lounge? Nice one Cellaraso. We're building the Helsinki (now moved down a category and rebranded the Berkshire) which is very similar to the Delta 25, just a fair bit bigger. We did put cavity sliders to the minor bedroom wing, to block off the noise from the living. I also put double cavity sliders to the formal lounge, so that we can throw the guest children in there with movies and shut the doors Re: Building in Melbourne with Metricon - Delta 25 19Jul 19, 2017 4:08 pm pvbuild what stage are you at in the process? Your plan is very similar, we have a small block so 25 squares is pretty much the maximum we can fit. I thought of blocking off some areas but decided against it to keep the open plan vibe. May be kicking myself when the kids are wreaking havoc! Are you building in VIC? Re: Building in Melbourne with Metricon - Delta 25 20Jul 19, 2017 4:12 pm Yep, in Vic. Metricon are starting to brick tomorrow - we've had about 6 weeks of delays due to a slight muck up with the garage boundary design, but that should be solved now.
