Yes, we used a DFH mortgage broker and he has been wonderful. I think it is costing us about $280 to get 4 extra tv points put in... Thanks for the info on TV points. We're considering having addt'l TV points but have forgotten to include it. Great reminder, LOL. We're also building with DFH and our contract is still in the process of being written and the drawings will probably be ready a week from now. Re: What do u think of this floorplan? comments appreciated =) 58Feb 25, 2009 4:39 pm ![]() Laundry off from the meals area looks odd. I would push beds 3 and 4 up and bring the laundry down. Hi D@n, Thanks for the suggestions. Yes currently at the moment I am still deciding on whether to move the laundry down. I am going to talk to the builder on Friday to find out any costs associated with moving the laundry. As first home buyer, our budget is a bit tight =) Thanks again Stephen Williams Landing Stage 10 - Kingwell Neighbourhood Re: What do u think of this floorplan? comments appreciated =) 59Feb 25, 2009 4:47 pm Thanks to everyone who have suggested and/or commented on my floorplans. I will be discussing with the builder (initial consultation) next week in relation to the changes discussed in this forum. Hopefully we can afford all the changes that we want to have =)
Will definitely let you all now how I go with my initial consultation and what changes we will be making. Stephen Williams Landing Stage 10 - Kingwell Neighbourhood Re: What do u think of this floorplan? comments appreciated =) 60Feb 25, 2009 7:07 pm Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅
Blue Circle: Door to minor bedrooms. If you put it after the loo it means visitors have no reason to be in the area where children might be sleeping. Or otherwise put it before the loo/bathroom Red Circles. A door in one of these 2 places. That way a visitor at the front door doesn't see right through your house. It also means you have more control for zoning for heating and cooling and noise . Depending on the door width this could be a single door or a double. We added a door in our last house well after build to close off the front passageway ( after the lounge) from our main living/family area. Great idea. BUT it was expensive doing it afterwards. The bonus we got was that because the door frame wasn't there we had to have a section added above the door. So we opted for a frosted glassed area. This added additional light to the passageway which was lovely. It made the door a feature ( we went for a glass insert type internal door) and the glass panels helped stop the passageway from looking too short and claustrophobic. Was brilliant for deadening noise travel too. 2 6658 I am building Enfield 201 by Mimosa Homes - York Facade Link: https://www.mimosahomes.com.au/new-homes/enfield-201/ I did my colour appointment last week.
