Great to hear that you are building the same home. It will be great to follow one another and see how its all coming along. Our build probably wont be ready to go until Jan next year (that's if registration is on track for Sept). Have you made many changes with the entertainer? Have you made many changes with the entertainer? Ally We have made a lot, which is why we're having a second tender, the woman I was dealing with has also left the company due to illness so I've had to change sales people and the location they are at. We visited our block on Saturday and realised we need to change it around even more again so I've played with paint and am going in to the office on Saturday morning to start fresh with the new sales guy. Considering we don't even have our floor plans set and have to get a second tender I would say we won't be starting till January too. We settle on our block on Tuesday so that's exciting but not that it changes much, just adds repayments to the mix lol Building an Allworth Home in Coast Central Estate at Wyee 15Jun 20, 2017 4:23 pm Wyeebuild Cool definitely sounds like the builds will be close together. How did you go with the new sales guy on Saturday? Is it today that you settle on the land? Yes we did, a bit anticlimactic as you don't get keys and move in like buying a house, but yes, the land is officially ours! The sales guy was surprisingly good, we've changed plans to the Sonata 12, extending the garage 1.4m wide, 2m in length for a study to offset the other side. Making a whole lot of changes. Straightening out the hallways, adding a 2x 3.6m butlers pantry, behind the kitchen, pushing the pantry and kitchen into the dining area and using the original alfresco for that instead. Then making the new alfresco across the whole 9m width of the back of the house and 3m deep, which is another 3m extension so adding 5m overall, hoping the alfresco add on won't cost too much as we aren't getting it concreted and there's no walls. That's the part I'm most excited about as it faces the water. We are going to deck it all in and have a swim spa or plunge pool in the deck as the deck can be a bit bigger than the roof over it. He said since it's a requote and they've already inspected the site plus I gave them the surveys it should only take a week instead of two, so hoping it happens that way. I took pictures of all the colour choices in their display place so I have to start thinking about that now, but it's finally starting to become exciting instead of just daunting Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Re: Building an Allworth Home in Coast Central Estate at Wye 16Jun 22, 2017 2:38 pm Congratulations! Very exciting. House looks great too, looks like you'll be making a lovely home! Alfresco along the back like that will open it all up so nicely too! Re: Building an Allworth Home in Coast Central Estate at Wye 18Jun 29, 2017 8:11 pm Hi Ally, We too are building in Wyee! This will be our first build so it's great to hear others building in the same area. We bought a block also in Lawrence Ave (Stage 1- lot 106) but we have had a crazy couple of weeks going back and forth with the developers. They found a privately owned water easement going across our block of land so they are trying to relocate us to another block. At this stage it looks like the only thing they are able to offer us an an alternative is another block in stage 1 that is 40sqm smaller We are building with McDonald Jones and have all the colours and electrical done and signed off on. However, it looks like we are going to have to change our house design as we can't fit the Monte Carlo on the new block they are offering. It looks like we are going to have a few really expensive months ahead of us trying to get it all sorted. Hope your journey has been a lot smoother than ours Tash Re: Building an Allworth Home in Coast Central Estate at Wye 19Jun 29, 2017 9:10 pm Wyeebuild Yeah I could definitely see how annoying that would be. Another question with the place you are in now, if it's the same design as ours, in the main bathroom does the shower screen hit the toilet when fully opened? Yeah we like the single story design, we will most likely be starting a family in this house so we were not a fan of stairs either for the reason of little kids etc. We've been told roughly 3 months from registration also. When did you put the deposit down on your block? Have you had your kitchen/electrical appts? We were supposed to get our preliminary plans back last week but hopefully we should get them this week. Allworth have been good too so far, they are building a few homes up there apparently.
