No they usually have all plans updated before contract.
When we moved refrigerator void to kitchen it was in our plans come final. I don't understand why they are being difficult, we did two preliminaries before final due to changes. It's like they're avoiding preliminaries now. It's like they want 5% deposit quicker!!! Things have definitely changed since we started.
Thanks Emmz , I'll make sure ill stick to not signing until they make the changes.
I think I've been unlucky with the CSC, rest of M have been great.

We had about 12 post contract variation documents. There were many errors and things missing in our final contract.

Did you have to pay Admin fees for each of the variations?

No because the majority of the variations post contract signing were oversights and errors in the contract by Metricon. We did put some new changes in post contract and this was allowed because we had to do variations due to Metricon's errors anyway.
Our admin phase was really lengthy and we weren't given the opportunity to view our contract before signing it so there were many many variations post contract.
They do honour all those variations however so i wouldn't worry about that. We just recently had an instance where the incorrect laundry door was ordered as per contract but we had a variation to prove otherwise and that was fixed in our favour.
If we had waited until Metricon got the actual contract 100 per cent correct we still wouldn't have begun building yet, our admin phase was very slow...lots of back and forth emails between us and the customer service people and the estimator.
Good Luck!

I think most people have mix experience with the M Admin process and it really depends on your CSC. We raised an escalation with our original one mid way and was given a more experience CSC which total impress us. I could not recommend her more.
She reassure us that she would help us through the journey and would make sure that everything or every questions we asked would be actioned and she did.
Told us that the contract did not need to be 100% at the time of signing and that we could still have the variations done post signing.
Let see how it goes and I'll keep you posted.
