Which brick are you using? I would never have known about independent building inspectors and the like if I didn't join here. We will definitely be using one if we ever get our build off the ground. Thanks rabbitburrows The brick I used was Austral's Federation Limestone. I totally forgot I chose the brick at prestart but I'm loving it! How's your land search going?? We found land in Dawesville, but it turns out the developer won't let you level the significant slope on the land, so that would add thousands to earthworks costs, not to mention the added building costs to have the house at multiple levels according to the slope. Pass. We are now surveying another property for accurate earthworks costs before we commit to something we can't afford. I started with Golden Bay, then secret harbour, vista, ocean sonething until I found mine. Further south than I wanted but I never imagined I could live so close to the beach.
