Did you have any luck with yours? I get the impression as it is single glazing it shouldn't be too hard to cut a bit of a glass if need be, but perhaps also just the wood at the bottom. If your dog can jump up and through (unlike our sausage!) then just cutting through the glass would be much simpler. P. Re: pet door 10Apr 30, 2017 7:39 pm We have left it and we will see what happens post handover. What I have read is that the whole pane of glass needs to be replaced. I also got the screen door adaptor. The ultimate thing wasn't available when I purchased 18 months ago. I had a handyman install it, but anybody who is good with a drill could manage. http://www.modernpetdoors.com.au/ Re: pet door 14May 02, 2017 1:09 pm Re: pet door 15May 02, 2017 8:00 pm I've seen those before, Waldorf. As long as your dog can jump up and through that seems like a good way of doing it. I gather cutting the round hole in the glass is fiddly but not hard for them to do. Re: pet door 16Jul 10, 2018 10:30 pm As an update, we swapped the 'win21' door for Corinthian's 'Backdoor No.6' which is stained wood on the bottom and glass on the top. I hope that this will be easier to cut a dog door into when the time comes. Re: pet door 17Jul 04, 2020 10:50 am More updates - the builder stuffed up and installed the win21 door and it was too late to change. The toughened glass wasn’t able to be cut - could have got another bit of glass installed but went with a new door from Bunnings and installed the dog door in the bottom. The amount of light into the laundry is fine with just the glass top half I think. Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ 920 was enough to get the furniture in.
