Browse Forums Building A New House Re: New here we are building the Doulton 56 with extension 261Apr 25, 2017 11:46 pm My thread is called palace lux q1 with mods west with henley. As its a double Henley said they could extend the house length but not the width, but we did extend garage width and added a new room for laundry and extended back of house by 1.6m to extend family, alfresco, bed 4 & bed 5. I chose palace 41 as base plan due 5 beds upstairs with large sizes compared to other plans. I needed a bed with ensuite downstairs for mum so we converted theatre and laundry into her room and ensuite, and converted study into bedroom. Henley seemed very willing to make changes, but it does go through an approval process. Also added in fireplace, and shower into powder room. I'm sure I could have added an ensuite into bed 4 as it has the room, but budget is limited and we can manage with the bathrooms we have and our preference is bedroom size. You could start with Ramada as base plan and extend/add/change as you desire. Too much work was put into it and headaches lol. I just wish m would stop mucking us about. Henley does seem quiet flexible thou. I'm going to follow your build. It will be an interesting house. viewtopic.php?t=86597 Re: New here we are building the Doulton 56 with extension 263Apr 26, 2017 12:01 am Thanks, I've been following yours as I'm interested by the size of your home, lovely big home, hope it all comes together well for you. Wondering what's happening with m. His actually waiting on them lol. Can't wait for this stage to be over with. I'm not used to waiting this long to start building a house. viewtopic.php?t=86597 Re: New here we are building the Doulton 56 with extension 270Apr 27, 2017 2:43 pm Yeah times have changed. I remember my parents built with M 17 years ago. Studio M was actually in the garage of the actual display home, and they only had 1 display home. Paperwork was just a few weeks, then house was built over the next 3 or 4 months. Things were so simple back then, but then again there wasn't many options for variations. And now they take months for variations This house that I'm in now was with built with porter davis. It's 47sq took 5 mths too build. Even then I couldn't wait till it was done. Yet to wait 12mths with m. I hope not. viewtopic.php?t=86597 Re: New here we are building the Doulton 56 with extension 272May 09, 2017 3:08 pm Houston we have the plans. Finally.
