Not sure about turf yet but it's fairly high on the priorities. Re: Williams Designer Homes build, West Wallsend NSW - Hando 624Apr 20, 2017 10:13 pm Whitey22 Who did your fencing if you don't mind me asking pm me if you like house looks amazing Locked In Fencing did it, along with the two houses on the low side of us. Good blokes. Re: Williams Designer Homes build, West Wallsend NSW - Moved 625May 26, 2017 9:38 am Hey all, just a quick update on how things are in the new house. We are loving it! Sorry for the lack of updates but there hasn't been much to tell. I don't really want to post pictures until things are a little more finished. We're taking our time unpacking, so our garage is full of boxes but I'm ok with that, it'll get cleared out sooner or later. We haven't really found any defects, just a couple little things here and there but all really superficial, I'm really impressed with the quality of the finishes. Ryalls came up for a look around a few weeks ago and was impressed, so I think Tony's painters must have done well haha. We have quotes for turf and blinds, so hopefully we will get both of those done in the next few weeks. One thing is obvious, we need to get some furniture! Our old house was tiny, and we never bothered to furnish it with nice new stuff because we always figured we would get around to that when we have more space. Now have have all of this space haha. I've been begging for an Ikea trip for a couple of weeks, hopefully hubs caves soon so we can get a few things. Re: Williams Designer Homes build, West Wallsend NSW - Moved 626May 26, 2017 9:58 am Nice to know you are settling in... I would have typed the exact same thing on my thread 6 weeks back Almost 2 months in the new house and so far I have found a small hairline crack on the bathroom wall tile.... I felt the same with the space and you put a dining table and lounge in, you will be wondering where all the space gone.. haha Re: Williams Designer Homes build, West Wallsend NSW - Moved 627May 26, 2017 12:13 pm We've been in for just over a month haha, I'm just lazy with unpacking Reg. We have our old dining table in, which is a handmedown, it's a two seater so it looks tiny in the space. The only room that is more or less finished is our bedroom. Our media room has mostly been used as storage to my poor husbands dismay. Not that we have the TV or lounge for in there yet anyway. Re: Williams Designer Homes build, West Wallsend NSW - Moved 628May 26, 2017 12:14 pm Although this is the first weekend that we have lived there that neither of us have plans or work taking up the whole weekend. the weather looks like it will be good so we might get some work done. Re: Williams Designer Homes build, West Wallsend NSW - Moved 629Jul 04, 2017 1:26 pm Geez time sure does fly once you're in! Our defect period is almost up and we're just about to submit our list. It's mostly just small things like chips in paint and that sort of thing that should be easy to fix. Pretty short list compared to other people's that I've seen. There a couple of bigger ones (like the scratch on my splashback) that might not be quick fixes, but I'll let you all know what happens. We are loving the new house, everyone that has seen it has been impressed, landscaping is taking longer than I'd like but I guess these things take time and are tough when your husband is a shift worker. Also we have shutters in now which are beautiful and just make the whole place look so much better. Re: Williams Designer Homes build, West Wallsend NSW - Moved 631Jul 05, 2017 7:18 am cat_dunc Pics please! I'll get a couple after work today, our new buffet is arriving today and I'm very excited Re: Williams Designer Homes build, West Wallsend NSW - Moved 632Jul 05, 2017 6:15 pm Re: Williams Designer Homes build, West Wallsend NSW - Moved 634Jul 06, 2017 1:08 pm cat_dunc ooh I love the buffet. Is is from Wildflower in Warners Bay? The shutters look great too It is! Good spotting, I love that shop. It was the only buffet that either of us liked from the dozen furniture shops we went to. But yay for a massive task complete, mine & hubs backs are aching but it was so worth it.
