Good choice with the dining pendant I think. Having seen your nice solid dining table and chairs, the glass ones might have been too delicate.

That's great news Magavin. What's happening lately at yours? Any new pics to share? Popped into Beacon lighting this arvo and I'm sold on the triple pendant above the dining table - like this but in aged steel. So guess we'll need to change our elec plans from two to one. Also took hubby today to look at some floorboards. As we are looking at oaks which are softer and prone to scratching, we are going to stick with laminate. Easier on the hip pocket and less stress maintaining them compared with engineered. Also prefer longer planks as less busy with less joins. Currently looking at Armstrong New England Beverly Point from Choices Flooring - 12 x 193 x 2260. TBC. I think that would look really good! Funny you should talk about flooring as that is what has been happening at mine this week. When they first started I had a peek. The sun was going down and was shining directly into our living area and made the vinyl planks look a lot lighter than I thought they were and quite brown and I had a moment (or a few moments all week) where I thought I hate them and I've ruined the look!! But now that they are all done and I've seen them in not so direct lighting which they will always be once the blinds etc go in I think they look great! I really wanted the greyer ones but hubby wanted a darker wood look and so we agreed on a dark oak.... Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ I think the brownier colour softens the greys and white so it's not too mono tone. What do you think??? I think your grey choice will look great as you are having your pop of blue to liven the place up a bit. Your choices are really complementing each other. Well done! Gorgeous floorboards Magavin!! They definitely soften the room with their warm tones. You must be really pleased with them! Once they're done, please do post a pic so we can see how they look in relation to the kitchen etc! Yes thanks, for ours I think the grey works well with the bench top and splash back. Here's a pic with them against the floor. As you can see the floor is actually a bit browner compared to the other one I posted on from the supplier's website. Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ With the dining pendant I was thinking the aged steel to tie in with our cabinets pulls and knobs, but on seconds thought could also go black to tie in with the appliances. Not sure which would look better! Re: Our Custom Hamptons Inspired Home 183Apr 09, 2017 9:17 pm manderinne Just had a read of your thread, looking good so far! Love the hamptons style. We have that Beacon tri pendant above our dining table and it's so pretty. Nothing much to report. Spoke to the builder last week and apparently 90% of the site cut has been done, with about 20m3 of rock to remove which isn't too bad. Though they still have some big boulders to break and dig out in that last 10%! Fingers crossed it doesn't amount to too much In the meantime, I've finally got hubby on the Pinterest bandwagon! He works from home a bit, so I've encouraged him to start thinking about what he wants for the study/home office. He is thinking built in cabinetry down one side with a desk and shelves. Looking at our plans again we've realised the window in our study is bloody huge! It's 2.7m wide! No idea why we did that so thinking might need to reduce it. Also toying with the idea of making it longer and perhaps incorporating a nice window seat...
