Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Our Forever Home at Cloverlea - we're in 167Apr 20, 2017 3:16 pm Hi everyone I can kind of see why people disappear off of here when their houses are done... there is so much else to do! We moved in last week, moving day went smoothly enough, and the rental keys were given back. It is lovely being in the new place and I am loving the space we have - I even have some empty kitchen cupboards. If you knew how much kitchen stuff I have, you would know that this is quite an achievement. Though the extra drawers we added in the kitchen helped greatly with this. The furniture we purchased in advance is working well together. We are ordering our new dining setting this weekend (wanted to wait until we were in, to check the size availability). It was fun finding and unpacking the boxes of the various bit and pieces I have purchased over the last few years to decorate the new place - bit like Christmas! Driveway is getting done this week - which will be great when done as I am a bit sick of walking through the dirt/mud. More concreting to be done in the next few weeks so we will then have pathways around most of the rest of the house, which will make it much more useable. Anyway I will try and remember to take some snaps and come back to chat to you all again soon! House is great too :p Second that! What a cutie! Love your kitchen pendant and stools too by the way. Thanks for sharing. So glad to see you've settled in Our 37sq Custom Hamptons Inspired Home: http://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?t=86931 Re: Our Forever Home at Cloverlea - we're in - some pics 177Apr 28, 2017 8:12 am Thanks guys. Cleo is a bit of a poser and every room I went in she followed me in and sat, as you can see, right in the middle. Little buggar. Thinks she's funny. Love her to bits though. Thanks for the comments, we are definitely settling in quite easily. Starting to enjoy cooking again as I have enough space plus all of my cooking appliances, pans etc are all finally unpacked. We have a few things to sell on ebay or gumtree so once they are gone we can get on with fitting out some of the other rooms (our old lounge suite is taking up a heap of room in the back living room and can't do much in there till it's gone). Driveway is getting poured today - so I am told anyway - so once that is set and all finished I'll get everything advertised - can't really have people coming to the house with no driveway! Although I am biased cos I am looking at the same bedroom set and entertainment unit. So happy you are in and enjoying your new home Re: Our Forever Home at Cloverlea - we're in - some pics 180Jun 26, 2017 12:55 pm Hi, a few more pics. Driveway is done (worked out more yellow than I wanted but not much can be done about it now!) and the side and back paths are done. We didn't get them done all the way around as we are decking over the alfresco area and out both the side and into the backyard so they weren't needed. Our new dining table arrived and we are slowly sorting everything out. It takes a lot longer than you would think especially when you are trying to sell stuff at the same time! The lounge for the back room has also been ordered so waiting for that and some pics we are getting framed. Shed should be up in a few more weeks which will be great as most of the stuff in the garage can be moved into the shed. DH has been digging up all the crappy dirt out the front ready to move it with a digger so we can replace it with sandy loam etc before starting the lawn and garden areas. Anyway: http://i666.photobucket.com/albums/vv26/nataisha19/dining%20table_zps0vabfpqv.jpg http://i666.photobucket.com/albums/vv26/nataisha19/tramscroll_zpss5zdtqp0.jpg Our custom tramscroll - all our favourite places we have been so far http://i666.photobucket.com/albums/vv26/nataisha19/left%20side%20path%20to%20front_zpslpitsvlf.jpg Side path http://i666.photobucket.com/albums/vv26/nataisha19/back%20path_zpsgzgetwuf.jpg Back path http://i666.photobucket.com/albums/vv26/nataisha19/right%20side%20path%20towards%20back_zpsgldlqslc.jpg Other side http://i666.photobucket.com/albums/vv26/nataisha19/front%20yard%20dug%20up_zps1sbvtwum.jpg http://i666.photobucket.com/albums/vv26/nataisha19/front%20250617_zpsxvhgh7di.jpg My blog: tashandpaul.wordpress.com 6 11528 Thank you so much for the effort.
